So terrible that it is almost comical. The agent who picks up the phone is beyond rude and arrogant. She also told us it would be 6-8 weeks for someone to come take a look at our issue, but that it most likely wouldn't be fixed then, we would just have someone take a look.' It honestly shocks me this place is still in business. Luckily, for them, this warranty was a gift.

If I had spent my own money I would be taking further action. Don't waste your time (even if you didn't buy the warranty yourself) - it is worthless. I had put the awful memory of this place behind me, but when they sent an e-mail renewal notice, I was motivated to write this review.

DO NOT USE! Absolutely terrible company that has no interest in ever paying out a claim. Use purposefully ambiguous and confusing contracts to avoid covering anything they don't want to. Don't waste your money here.

Horrible customer service, non responsive. Contractors don't have appointments available. The manager Jay is terrible and tells customers your issues are not important. I called the contracted service to set up an appointment and the scheduler works from home and was babysitting her nephew who cried loudly during the entire call. Very unprofessional

Do not recommend this company! They have no sense of urgency. Even when you go through their process, you have to call again and again and again to get repairs scheduled. They have an extremely limited list of service providers that they work with. Private companies do not like to deal with them. When they approve for you to call your own tech, they dispute estimates, argue about cost, and won't approve until they "talk to their contractors." Then they will low ball, or deny to cover the repair at all.

They give many "non covered repair" items that are not disclosed in the contract and just flat out refuse to pay. It's seems as though they make the rules up as they go as we get many conflicting answers. We have the most premium warranty they offer and every singe repair needed has been a huge runaround. Once you have a claim or two, they become very restrictive about covering anything! We were hoping to purchase additional home warranty but will never use this company again. Keep looking!

Worthless. Everything we filed a claim for was "not covered". Then our oven wasn't closing and needed one part replaced and they don't cover that part because it is known to always break on ovens?!?! How is that my problem? Thankfully we did not purchase the policy ourselves and it was included in the sale of our home, otherwise it would have cost us more to have the policy than to simply pay for repairs on our own.

I really don't have anything good to say about Blue Ribbon. The paperwork they send you telling what they cover is very unclear. It says it covers all leaks, but then when you call in a claim they tell you that it's only certain pipes, but will not give you a list of pipes that are actually covered. When you call in a claim they don't communicate with you at all after the claim is called in.

You can go a full 24 hours before you hear from a contractor or service person, and if they fail to contact you blue ribbon never follows up so you have no idea what's happening or if someone is going to come help. If you choose to sign up with them I recommend asking for an exact list of what's covered and see if they can produce anything. It seems like all they're trying to do is rip you off.

Unethical. They will not honor their own contract. They claimed my refrigerator broke due to a design flaw and they would not cover it. I asked for documentation of a design flaw and did my own research to find the flaw they described. I could not find anything in writing. They informed me that they determined it was a design flaw and I will be responsible for replacing the refrigerator.

I have had issues with them before but just making things up without documentation to get out of honoring a contract defeats the whole purpose of a home warranty. I am reporting them to the BBB.

Critical: Responsiveness Called in a claim to have my a/c checked because it smelled like freon. Northern Climate control came and said it was fine, no problem. So I had to pay for the service call and for an "inspection." What is the point of this plan? Don't waste your money. It took 3 calls to get an answer about this.

DENY DENY DENY.Trust all these negative reviews! Save your money or go with a different company. We have given them several issues that needed to be fixed. One was a mechanical leakage issue, which they're suppose to cover, but they used every angel of argument in order to not be liable to fix it. You have to pay $65 each time for a technician to come out just for them to deny everything needing to be fixed.

Their own plumber had to try to convince them the issue should be covered and they still denied a simple $200 fix and we have the platinum plan. Hate to see what the two plans below our looks like. There's a reason they have low stars rating. This company is not worth your money or the hassle. Trust the reviews and go with another company!

I have had Blue Ribbon Warranty for years. Each time I try and use it there is always some type of issue. A few months ago I called for service on my furnace and was told since it was not catastrophic it was not covered. Now furnace is not working and I have to wait 2 days for a technician to show up. No Help What So Ever with Their Customer Service. They only contract out to the small companies with only 1 or 2 Employees. As you can read they don't respond to Reviews. Should be first clue!
