Applied for a place, had to pay the application fee twice because their platform lost our documents, and then got ghosted by the broker. I even texted just to follow up a week after, but they decided our application didn't warrant a response. A joke of an establishment.

Staci Reed is really nice and extremely helpful. She moves very quickly and I can tell she don't play when it comes to her job, she got the job done! Two days after meeting with her for the first time, she sent me out on 2 viewings and now I'm waiting for my move in date to my 3 bedroom apartment. I reached out to The Osur Team at Living New York about an available apartment I saw on StreetEasy, and I cannot stress enough how thankful I am I did. From the showing, to communicating with the building, to applying, and signing the lease, they were in constant communication every step of the way and I cannot be happier with the apartment I'm moving into.

Finding a home in New York can be a stressful experience, but having brokers like The Osur team makes you feel like you're seen and valued as a person while trying to find your home. I highly recommend using them if you're looking for a place to live in NYC.

Had multiple bad experiences with this company. In the midst of my current apartment search, these folks have disappointed me 3 different times. All connections were made over StreetEast or Zillow. The first interaction was with Allan Gewurtz who at first was helpful and responsive. When it came time to see an apartment, he completely stood us up and did not call or email to apologize.

We waited at the apartment for 20 mins and nothing, I even called his personal number and got no response. Next, we were in touch with Gabrielle DeJesus who was running an open house at a different apartment. I confirmed with her multiple times that we were coming to the showing. When we showed up to the building and I let her know we were there, she texted me to tell me "So sorry about this but there was a conflict in scheduling.

Thought I had contacted you." She, in fact, had not contacted me, but at least she apologized. However, she didn't offer another time to view the apartment. That makes 2 times that these realtors did not show up or communicate. Last, we were in touch with Alex (no last name listed) who encouraged us to see an apartment with an application ready since "it won't last long." Already shady.

Desperate to see a nice apartment, my partner decided to see it anyway, and Alex decided to send some random guy to meet him instead of coming himself. This other guy showed the apartment (advertised to have washer/dryer in unit), and the apartment was basically falling apart. It was dirty, did not have a washer/dryer, and was extremely different than advertised.

The closets had no doors! My partner asked about a second apartment that we were interested in, and this guy told him, "oh, you don't want to see that one." All in all, avoid this company at all costs. They are scammers, entirely irresponsible, rude, and not worth wasting your time on.

Valerie was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the showing, application and after being approved. Coming from out of state, we had a million questions and she was quick to answer all of them. Even went above and beyond sharing videos and photos of the property helping us with measurements and planning our move. First time living in NYC and Valerie provided a top notch experience. Thank you!

Highly recommend working with Staci Reed. Apartment hunting in New York is notoriously challenging, but Staci found me an apartment in one day and ensured my application package was watertight. Always professional, very responsive, and a joy to work with. A rarity in this industry!

I worked with Living New York last summer when my Dad and I were trying to purchase an apartment. The short version is that we didn't get it -- not through any fault of ours, but because of a financial glitch: the bank decided that the building didn't have enough owner occupied units and pulled out at the last minute. While this may not have been Living New York's fault directly, there's no question that someone at the firm (we dealt with Ivy and Devin) should have known about it and given us a heads up. As it stands, we wasted months unnecessarily and almost lost our deposit. Reading some of the other reviews on here made me realize that our situation was not unique.

I scheduled a a showing with Monty (Manty?), texted him hours ahead to confirm, and even showed up early. I paid an Uber there and back in the freezing cold and he never showed up. He didn't call, text, or even apologize. I scheduled another showing with Adam Toback, which went well (he actually showed up), until afterwards when he was very condescending on the phone.

I expressed my concerns about giving my credit card numbers over the phone so he can run a credit report (reasonable being there are so many scams going on in nyc), to which he replied do you think I'm gonna buy a tv on it? (very reassuring!) I told him I'm more comfortable coming to the office to make a payment but instead of being understanding and accommodating, he was very rude, sarcastic, and made me feel like I needed to rush into giving him my information. Seeing I was still hesitant and wanted to come to the office, he ended our conversation telling me I actually don't have enough paperwork to qualify, but prior to this conversation he said I did & that they're very flexible. Overall this was a very unprofessional experience for me from both agents, and a big waste of my time. I don't recommend.

My daughter is a student and renting an apartment from Living New York. On Thanksgiving Day, from all the days, in the middle of the night, a pipe leading from the above apartment broke and a huge water leak start pouring from her ceiling. When the neighbors ran their appliance. The neighbors were not responding to her knocking nor her notes, she knew that she is on her own, in the place where she cannot use her floated bathroom, with murky water dripping everywhere and nothing will be done until Monday.

All the hotels were booked, because of holidays and all of her friends were gone, with their families out of state. Not having anyone she could reach out for help in the city, our Thanksgiving holidays started to turn out far from happy. We didn't think that anyone would get back to us and to our surprise, after reaching out to Staci, Jon and Devin, not only we were contacted within hours, but Staci opened her own home to my daughter, treated her with a warm meal and let her to spend the night, after making sure that she is okay, watching a movie and having a popcorn!

That is absolutely unheard of! The kindness, human touch and tremendous care from Staci, Jon and Devin is priceless to me as mom, being in California. Their company's values incredible, customers come first, but they exceeded the expectations way beyond the norm, by treating my daughter like a family, no question asked. I am still in Awe, cannot believe that someone would go out of their way to accommodate a complete stranger.

I'm not sure about other agents here but I would not recommend working with Jaub Brooks. He took several days to respond to my request to see an apartment. No response through one website but I submitted again through another (streeteasy) and he responded asking me to email him on Friday (2 days later) to set up a time. I thought that was weird but I did and we confirmed a time for Saturday.

A couple of hours before our appointment he responds to my confirmation to say the apartment was already taken but he has another in the same building I can see at our appointment. I show up and he's not there and not responding to my message that I'm waiting outside. He finally writes back asking me to call him. Despite the email chain we had going all week, and that we spoke 2 hrs prior, the first thing he does is ask me to remind him if we've spoken before and introduces himself on the phone. Wtf?

He ends with saying he's 1 minute away but there's someone viewing the apartment now but they should be gone by the time he gets there. We had an appointment! And there was no one in the apartment - I managed to get in the building and knocked/rang the bell of the apartment. I gave him 10 more minutes (almost 16 total after our time) and left. No messages from him yet. I should have read reviews here before but I've honestly never experienced anything like this while looking for an apartment.

Jaub Brooks, is possible the most unorganized unprofessional agent that Ive worked with. I met with him twice, the first time he showed me a different apartment than the one listed in the website in a different floor he knew as much as I did about the building. A month later I met again and he did the same thing only this time he didn't have the keys So I couldn't even see the apartment, he showed up late to both appointments and did not even try to fix the issue.

While searching for my new NYC apartment, I worked with Anderson and Melanie. They were extremely engaged, helpful, and very responsive. They immediately provided answers to all my questions and followed up with me to make sure the process with the management company was moving forward. I highly recommend them, professional, super responsive, while also kind and with a sense of humor - a rare find. So a big thank you from my side and I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

We needed to quickly rent an apt in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NY for our family member who was arriving from overseas. The Living NY management company helped us tremendously. Such a wonderful experience working with Living New York. From the start of my apartment search they were communicative, professional, and helpful. Damien was the broker who showed me the apartments. I was running late to the appointment and he was so patient and understanding and waited for me. He was easy to talk to, kind and knowledgeable. Melanie Nazarian was an absolute delight to work with - she recently help me get a wonderful apartment in the East Village. She went above and beyond every step of the way - even sharing recommendations within the neighborhood. She was super communicative about the status of everything and very helpful when I had questions.

We were fortunate to have Michael Yehuda as our realtor. He is professional, courteous, and stays in constant communication with the client. After a couple of appointments, we were on our way to a great apartment. Thanks Michael for making this a smooth and pleasant process.

Really disappointed with agent who I worked with. He did not know how to communicate - all his texts were extreme, didn't understand how to communicate - which helps in this business. Will nickel and dime you for deposit, would not recommend using this company.

Valerie and Jessica were fantastic to work with. I contacted them to look at one apartment and they set up a whole day of apartments to see in our desired neighborhoods and price range. Jessica showed us ten apartments in one afternoon and we found exactly what we were looking for! I truly expected to be apartment hunting for weeks, but instead we found the right place on our very first day of looking. Valerie was great at making the deal go through with the landlord, including helping us clear all the paperwork hurdles. They were very responsive to our calls and texts, professional and very pleasant.

As we moved in on August 1, 2019, at the confirmed time (approved by Living NY) the repair men were still there. Our contact at the time asked us to send photos of the issues with the apartment (food in the fridge, pee in the toilet, unfinished painting, left behind materials) and yet nothing was done. My roommate and I were left with the task of a deep clean prior to moving in.

Upon move out, we were able to find friends to take on the lease for a full 2 years. A contract for this term behooves Living NY. We dealt with the clean and the key hand off to friends. We moved out 6 weeks ago and still have not received any security deposit. We've asked multiple times and have been pushed along to different contacts within the business. I'm leaving this review as it seems companies like this are never held accountable.

When I moved to NYC I found my excellent new apartment all thanks to my broker James Healey. He was polite, courteous, and very professional, and most of all vigorously passionate. He knows his stuff with an encyclopedic knowledge of the neighborhoods and surroundings of any listing he can find you. We started with James as Real Estate Agent but now he is our family. I could not recommend Living New York and getting Mr. Healey as your broker should be a #1 priority.

I want to specifically commend Matt Vranic. I've apartment hunted around the city before and I usually am skeptical of real estate brokers. I came to an open house that Matt was hosting and he showed me some properties that would fit me better than the ones I had originally planned to see. He was extremely helpful throughout the whole application process, making sure that he communicated clearly what I needed, and what the process would be once I moved in.

Even after the sale part of the property was done, he continued to help me with any issues I was having with the building management and made sure that I settled in nicely. I can't speak for the whole organization, but I do recommend working with Matt.

I moved to New York and finding an apartment without a fee was rough (to say the very least). I stumbled across a place I LOVED and the Fanny/Evan team were the brokers from the building side. They were super easy to work with and Fanny kept me in the loop even when I was losing my mind (moving to New York City does that to you). I recommended them to my friends and am recommending them to the community!

We worked with Meilin Gray and she is absolutely amazing! I cannot stress enough how helpful and accommodating she was to our entire process. I found one of her listings very last minute on a Sunday afternoon, gave her a call and we scheduled to meet at the apartment in half an hour. She gave a thorough tour of the apartment/building and answered all the questions I had as a first-time renter. Meilin was very responsive any time I texted or e-mailed her.

More importantly, she never made me feel uncomfortable about asking all my questions. We had a couple setbacks with our application but she assured us that we can find a solution and work something out. Lastly, she is super professional, clear, concise, and more than happy to help! We were able to secure the apartment we wanted all because of Meilin's help!

I could not recommend anybody else more. As we all know, NYC is a true headache already with apartment hunting. Add an unresponsive, rude, or unprofessional broker/agent on top of that to waste your time? I'm not here for that.
