Key Management Company was founded in 1980 by W. Alan Huffman. He was joined in 1992 by his partner Anthony Catanese when Investment Resources Corporation spun off its management division and merged with Key Management. Upon the retirement of W. Alan Huffman in 2010, Anthony Catanese became President and Peter Catanese became Vice President.
Key Management Company provides property management services for all types of real estate including: single-family homes, multi-family residential, home owner associations, shopping centers, industrial land, and office buildings. Our knowledgeable staff provides service and guidance in the areas of accounting and budgeting, leasing, sales, marketing strategies, and maintenance. Our services range from managing your property from our corporate office to hiring and supervising an on-site team and all the stages in between.

I would advise everyone to NOT rent from this Company. I put in my application and had already been approved and assigned to a certain townhome. I have been waiting 3 weeks to view the property, they continuously kept telling me the unit is not available to be seen or looked, it was being worked on but it's been a month now and they kept wanting me to put a deposit down.
I spoke with them on 3/3 because I received a letter in the mail stating that if I did not put my deposit down my application is only good for so long and I would move to the denial pile and when I called Chris told me that to even view the property I need to put my deposit down and if the home is not ready after the 12th of March then I would need to re-apply for the home and pay another application fee.
I have been given the run around for over a month. I turned my application into their office the end of January and they kept wanting me to put my deposit down without ever viewing the home. This certain company is money hungry and I have spoken with several of individuals that have rented from them and they also said the same.

Horrible I paid them my rent on time and they are claiming never to received it. Its retaliation against a complaint I made and I asked to speak with a supervisor or someone higher up they refuse. I am aquiring proof of purchase of money order from the money order place. Until then they tell me or evict me on the 25th with an illegal eviction. The male secretary got rude and snippy and made discriminatory remarks to me and then I asked someone from an upper position to call me back and they never did.
I asked for my number to be update they never do. They aredis0rganized and can't keep records correctly of send out maintenance people on time or in the day they say they will sometimes they show up before of after. Nevr been evicted in my life no criminal history pay my rent try to be polite but yet I am getting ripped off here. they serve me an ileagl eviction on my Birthday no less. So when most companies will send you a Bday Card they will send ilegal unwarranted evictions

Unprofessional company, very rude and unethical behavior. They are by far the WORST property management company I have rented from! They do not communicate with each other. Stephanie Bull the property manager is a complete joke, very rude, and hateful women! It's funny to me that's she's a property manager but has left a review like a tenant?!? Not shady at all!
They are money hungry and that's all they care about. We had a terrible experience renting from them. Why pay a $50.00 redecorating fee for them to charge you 1,200 for paint when you NEVER even painted the house! How can you charge someone for taking nails out of wall? When you paid a REDECORATING FEE! If I could of left you ZERO STARS, I would of your rating doesn't deserve to be a 3!
They need to reevaluate their career choices because this clearly isn't for them! They came into my house to do an inspection and were rude to me, my sister, and my child in my own home I asked them to leave and they just laughed! This is why some many people should buy instead of rent from places like this! They went through things in my home that they weren't supposed to but did anyways! Very Creepy! They were always driving by our home and I felt very uneasy about that.

I am super unimpressed by the way they handled maintenance. it took 24 hours longer than it was supposed to and I never got a notification as to when the maintenance guy would show up. my 12 month old daughter was taking and nap when they rang the doorbell and knocked. No notification. Now my child is up and I can't get her back to sleep. Thanks key management

I had sold my home due to it being (5) Bedrooms & it was only me. My kids had graduated college & moved on in their lives. So I figured I'd rent a condo and just retire there. I hadn't rented in over 30 yrs. Paid rent by auto-check payer (my bank would send them the check. So, it wasn't like I was late or short on the rent. This was the worst mgt team, I could never get them to fix anything, I met the owner of the property, very nice man!
As we talked just about life in general, I shared my concerns & experience with his property management team (Key-mgt ) since he asked how'd I like the place (Loved the Place) it's the people you have managing it, He wound up coming to fix things himself since they wouldn't/ couldn't /hadn't. He was an older man, I felt they literally were just taking advantage of.
But he felt he had no where else to go, he too was under contract with his property. But thank you Key-Management I see why I gave up renting all those years ago, because of companies like yours. Thanks for the reality check. Even 30 years later and still "No Diversity" within this company at any level on (staff) you can view the website and see that.
Oh well (maybe, if you are taking out the trash or cleaning up.) They missed the fact that they rent to all people of all nationalities/races. It's sad that they haven't changed, same old practices to deceive property owners and the renters. I would never recommend this company to any property owner or renter. Plus they never tell the truth on or at any level, " no accountability ever" they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign a lease & get you locked into that lease agreement. oh if something is not right in the rental, Oh it's okay they'll say just sign and we'll fix it. NO THEY WON"T. If there was a minus zero to choose. I would have chosen that -0 for the rating.

I recently got an apartment at The Vue and we got the 2 months off rent and we have been living here for a month. When we signed the lease we were told we did not pay rent till September. This last weekend I was told I had to pay rent the day before it was due. I checked my account and saw that I got the move in special and was fine with it. The office called me today and told me I have to pay rent and that they messed up and put the move in special in the computer.

I've been renting a home managed by Key Management for 5 years now. Yes, the house is old and has it's issues but every house will have problems arise. Every time I call and let Key Management know we have a vital problem that needs fixing, they're on the job as quick as they can. Not every job is vital and I fully understand if it takes a couple days before they can come out.
There are a few miscommunications every now and then but overall, I have been extremely satisfied as a tenant. I can say this for sure. I've had MUCH worse land lords that don't care at all. The Key Management staff of Wichita, Ks has been great. Shout out to Chris, one of the maintenance guys. He came out recently to replace a messed up kitchen faucet and did a phenomenal job. Very happy with the replacement and his service. Thanks guys and gals!

I've been doing work for Key on their residential homes for the past year solid. The worst part is when I go out and place a bid, I do it timely and efficiently, but they have to wait for two more bids to come in. Which stinks for them. Because they have to hear about it from tenants and owners as if it's them doing it. When they get the bids all in, they're very quick with accepting bids and getting work started.
They are truly on top of their game there. Seeing things from my side has really opened my eyes along with being a landlord personally. I understand the struggles that they have to face as I face them myself as well. If it were Key's choice, repairs would be made the day they hear a complaint.however certain owners request certain things and that's the only thing that binds them.
They do have a protocol and they do have to follow it, which they do. I'm very blessed to do work for this amazing company and look forward to a very long lasting relationship between us. If you're looking for a place to stay, from a contractors perspective, this is the one! Not many others will care the way that they do for properties. If the rental that I own was in their area, they would 100% be managing it for me. Hands down the most caring management net company that I've came across yet! My main two points of contact are a Mrs. Rae and a Mrs. Melissa. GREAT PEOPLE!

I had been working with a agent named Ashlee for the past couple of days. We had set up a time that worked for my schedule and she seemed really nice. I called to let them know that I could take the earlier time slot. The guy that answered the phone seem eager to help. When I arrived at the property there was people all ready there to view the property.
Mind you I only arrived 10 minutes before my schedule time. I waited in my car to see if they had just over lapped our time, but then another person came to view the property. To me this is very disrespectful to your clients. I was not told that I would be sharing a viewing or that it was an open viewing and other clients would be there. I called the office and asked if this was normal.
The lady said that it happens all the time. I told her that if I would of known I wouldn't of schedule a time for that. As a client this is unprofessional. Let your clients know ahead of time. So thanks, but no thanks. You have lost my business.

I have been a resident of Key Management for 4 1/2 years and based on my experiences, I believe the number of 1-star reviews to be an unfair representation of the company. My experience has been very positive, management has always been responsive to our needs, work orders have been taken care of, often within 24 hours and when our A/C went out last summer in the late evening, they had someone out the next morning to fix the issue, their contractor was there all day in 90+ °F heat creating a custom fix as the parts for the A/C unit were no longer available off the shelf.
When we had a banking issue, we contacted the property manager and she didn't charge us a late fee or any additional fees for the bounced rent check, working with us throughout. Overall, I am exceptionally happy with the service we have received from Key Management.

Completely unprofessional. Always hiring unprofessional looking people who do not know how to speak to clients or potential clients. One apartment "manager" even thought it would be acceptable to cuss at me. You attract what you put out, Key Management. If you want nice, respectful residents, you should start out by hiring nice, respectful employees. I will ALWAYS avoid Key Management and make sure everyone I know does the same.

The worst rental management company I have ever dealt with (Wichita, KS-559 Bristol)! At move in the property was filthy as the cleaning crew hadn't come. Spider webs everywhere too. We were assured they would arrive prior to our actual move in date. It didn't happen. We moved in 8/2015. I had to purchase 2 new toilet seats due to the filth and purchased 2 new shower curtain rods. Moved out 11/30/15, paying 2 months rent to break lease and leaving new toilet seats and shower curtain rods for next tenant.
Maintenance crews were constantly in and out of property with no regard to privacy or advance notice. At move out walk through, manager Rae said everything was fine. Later received the move out inspection form in the mail with $62 of charges, $20 of which was for dirty bathroom issues. I contacted Rae via phone to inquire about the $20 bathroom charges and said I took issue with this given the condition prior manager Melissa turned the duplex over to us at move in.
She agreed to refund the $20 bathroom charges. When the security deposit refund check was received, $20 was still deducted. Contacted Rae again and was told they found "other" dirty bathroom issues of drawers and countertops so they decided to keep the $20. Justin isn't any better. Only person who's helpful is Lindsy, their Office Admin. I've had many rental experiences with 2 kids in college out of state and NEVER had a rental experience like this company. POOR!
