SO unreliable. I've been in touch with this property management company since May 21st about an apartment viewing and they kept telling me they'd let me know as soon as they were able to show. I finally ask if its available yet and they tell me it's already been leased. Super lame and bad customer service. Always sending automated replies. Don't recommend trusting them at all.

This company operates under various DBAs. The owner Fjellestad Properties Inc run by NEIL HANS FJELLESTAD is impossible to find.

I recently moved out of the Talmadge on 44th Apartments and I can't say how much I miss it. The property was clean, the neighbors were nice, and we had a really good manager Maria, who was super friendly and took care of things right away. Unfortunately, not the experience I am having with the new management. I would gladly move back if I could.

I lived at a property managed by FBS for three years. I had no issues with them what so ever. Any service request made was dealt with in a timely manner. They were really helpful and worked with me when I needed to switch roommates

I want to start off by saying when we moved in Maria made it so easy to get everything signed and paid! I'm a military girlfriend and my roommate is also active duty so they are gone a lot and I'm alone, having Maria on site has made being alone and just having someone close so much easier! Anytime I need something she's just a text away! Even if it doesn't have to do with anything apartment related. Anytime I see her in the building she always is so friendly and asks how I'm doing.

We have been a proud service-provider for FBS for nearly eight years, helping them with all of their property-damage needs. FBS remains one of our most valued clients because they always call right away when they have an issue at a property. Their consistent quick action demonstrates their commitment to their residents & property owners to minimize damage, reduce costs, and restore living conditions as quickly as possible. Without a doubt, FBS is a first-class property management company.

I have worked with Taelar and the wonderful people over at FBS Management for years. They are by far the best real estate property management company in San Diego. They really work hard to take care of their clients and it shows through. They are quick to take care of any problems you may ever have. They offer awesome properties at great rates and always stand behind their quality service. Do yourself a favor and look at the great properties they have!

DO NOT RENT FROM FBS. They do not maintain their properties and will do the bare legal minimum to allow them to collect rent. They are more concerned about taking your money, getting you moved in and hoping you don't complain about their poor quality of service or structures. Maintenance and repair requests are met with so much resistance. Unprofessional. I've caught them in so many lies about things they have said were fixed or ordered!

The attentiveness and professionalism is unparalleled. Staff is eager to assist in matters that not only seem minor but major as well. Timely response to inquiries are noteworthy. Thank you.

I'm surprised by all of the negative reviews here because FBS has been the best property management company I leased from while living in San Diego. I really appreciated the personal interaction from Stephen during the entire process: from the initial tour, to the day we picked up our keys, and all the way through the end of our lease in which we received our entire security deposit back.

I feel like FBS actually cared about me as a person and not just another tenant. The lease is extremely straightforward and the move-out inspection was very thorough as well. I would rent from FBS again in a heartbeat!

I've worked with FBS for over 8 years and they are an excellent company to work with. I appreciate their office staff always being friendly and accommodating. The communication has been exceptional which helps our customer service. I look forward to working with them for many years to come.

I know FBS has mixed reviews, but I honestly had to write one because my experience with them has been so wonderful. I've lived at my residence for just about 4 months now, and every time an issue comes up they are extremely responsive. Rachel is a godsend and even spent one Friday evening on FaceTime with me (after business hours!) helping me solve a power problem.

We were so proud that we took care of the issue ourselves, but she would've sent an expert that evening if it was needed. I've even asked for my door to be repainted just to make the unit look nicer and there were no questions asked. Amazing. It's such a relief to have a property management company that communicates and cares. Rachel says she doesn't like anyone to move into a place that she wouldn't move into, so she takes great care. A landscaper comes every week to clean up the yard. Thank you FBS and I hope to keep having wonderful experiences throughout my time here! :)

This company is a joke! They don't keep up their rentals. I moved into a rodent infested home! They shortcut everything and "fight" you on work orders placed. Even the vendors used are a joke. Best appliance services is one of those vendors. The guy didn't even bother to screw down the vent when he installed a water heater ) He didn't properly vent this which means carbon monoxide seeps into the house when used!) He dumped the old one water heater in my yard and said it wasn't his problem) Pride plumbing is a vendor that actually does a good job Rachel Tandet is the worst of them all! Full of lies and promises to fix things that never get done. RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I have happily worked with FBS for 8 years. They manage our property as a rental and I couldn't be more pleased with their service and responsiveness! Rachel Tandet is our current property manager and she consistently keeps me informed as to any changes to the property or needed repairs. We were past clients of FBS and even though it's been a few years, I'm still compelled to write a review. If I can save even one homeowner from the experience working with FBS, it's worth taking a few minutes to do so. The level of property damage to a home "managed" by FBS was astounding - especially because it was due to gross neglect and could have been avoided had FBS not been so incompetent.

It was clear they hadn't properly taken care of the home and had no idea the level of disrepair and damage that the tenants had caused. FBS does not care about the properties assigned to them and I highly advise people not to entrust their homes/investment to this completely incompetent company.

Because of Covid we rented our apartment literally virtually. The house condition was as described, they sent us very detailed information, later we also added some pictures and things that needed improvements, like leaking faucet, diseased trees or the rusty dishwasher. The property manager Angela is very helpful. The problems are solved promptly. People often write negative reviews, I think that's why the FBS rating is so low. So far they do an awsome job.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM FBS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT! Run as far as you can in the other direction! I wish I could give them 0 stars because that would be a more accurate rating. I have had the absolute worse experience with them while renting my house this past year. They do not care about anything other than making money from you. My place was spotless and I even hired a cleaning service to come in and clean my house for me because I wanted to be done with FBS for good and get my security deposit back but of course they gave me $0 back and charged me $2000!

I could go on and on but just take my word for it: BEWARE. ***replying back to Melissa here since it won't let me reply directly back to her**** I would rather not disclose my personal information but I had a really bad experience and I would advise prospective customers to not use FBS Management. Also, Melissa's response is exactly the type of customer service you will receive if you decide to use FBS. They only care about themselves. I think your 2 star rating says enough though!

I am very impressed with FBS. I have worked with a few property management recently with my current search for housing. I have not had anyone give such prompt responses and all information up front. If I could give them 10 stars I would. My recommendation for you reading this is go with "FBS". Sherrie Carpenter

SERIOUSLY BEWARE I have put in a work order a month ago, got halfway fixed. Going on 3 weeks Friday(in 2 days). I have beams that are exposed with a toilet lid missing, no bottom shelves in the kitchen. Ive called a few times in regards to the unit being finished and Always get is half ass responses! "I'll call you back" No one ever does I have to call them, like its my job to make sure I have a decent rental for my three year old. The lack of motivation to fix my unit is very concerning and shows their real interest in how they treat the tenants, Im very dissatisfied with FBS.

Until we purchased a home we rented from FBS and found them to be fair and reputable.

We have been with FBS for a little under a year and we have had a great experience. Maria, our landlord, has always been so helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns! If there have ever been any complaints it has been related to our neighbors, not management, and we are grateful for that.

HOMEOWNERS BEWARE! They do not "property manage" they simply call contractors. It's up to the tenants to meet every single contractor and manage the job. FBS will not check the contractor's work to see if they're doing their job or charging you correctly. They call contractors for EVERYTHING, even simple 5-minute fixes. They do not provide spare appliances during failures and will leave your tenants without a fridge for over 2 weeks.

They do not check on the property throughout the lease so unless you get an exceptional tenant your house could be in ruins! TENANTS BEWARE! Unless you'd like to spend your time managing the property yourself and handling contractors, rent through someone else.

An award winning management company with your best interest in mind! YESSSS the owner! Renters beware! If you rent from these people photograph everything! And I do mean everything! Document everything via email.even if its something so small let them beware of it! Because I let a couple things that I didnt think were that big of a deal go and now whn its move out time wow!

I didnt know that nonworking cheap practical wood closet door that weren't working correctly in the first place cost $700. Oh yes and to hang the fresh painted doors in the other room! Wow! Be careful with these people They dont give a crap about the renter I was with them for almost 4 years trust me!

We are first-time rental property owners - FBS and team offered invaluable information on a consulting basis. When we bought a home we were ready to rent out our condo. We had 2 options. Manage it ourselves or go with a small PM company since we only own one property and it's a pretty low maintenance condo. Our small PM company wasn't being very communicative or forward with information so we contacted FBS which is the Nordstrom of property management.

They were incredibly helpful. They conducted rental competitive analysis, advised us of renter vs. owner rights, and even offered to write up a contract, regardless of if we chose to manage the property ourselves or go with the smaller PM company. For the first year we decided to go another route. However, if it proves to be a poor experience we will absolutely consider FBS as our next PM option. I Highly recommend at least chatting with FBS. They are highly knowledgable and very quick to respond.

Committed to Excellence This company is very professional. We are renting a property from them. All paperwork was very well organized and our move in process was seamless. This company takes pride in the work and is highly knowledgeable in this field. The few times we had questions we received a prompt response. We had to work with the maintenance team and it was great! We put in our requests and the next day a maintenance worker arrived and took care of the issue. Everyone we encountered has been pleasant and very professional.

Absolutely horrible. I've lived in my unit for 2+ years fbs took over property management 4 months ago. they have made no repairs to the property they raised my rent $300 with 30 days notice they overcharged me for 3 months on my utilites they don't call back or respond to calls or emails. absolutely the worst property management I've ever seen. I will not sign a lease nor do I recommend anybody to sign a lease with these people. They are borderline criminal.get use to seeing the truck pictured below. ROACHES.

Don't ever rent from FBS Property Management. They conned me into renting a mouse-infested broken down apartment. They don't respond to my emails and won't let me out of my lease. The first night I moved in, the heater didn't work, the shower didn't work, the shower drain was clogged, and the stove had sparks coming out of it. The mice have recently become the latest problem, of which i've had to take care of myself.

I love FBS! I have worked closely with many of the staff and they are all professional and efficient. Property management is an extremely difficult job- you have to work with so many tenants and owners, many of whom will never be satisfied. It is also a job that carries into the weekend- unfortunately properties don't take weekend breaks. The staff are all there, willing to help and do their best for the residents and owners. Melissa DeMarco in particular is always going above and beyond to take care of clients. Keep up the good work!
