Seems unreasonable to be required to give even 1 star. This company epitomizes the term "Slum Lord". The people that work here drive decent vehicles. I'm assuming because they each are lining their pockets rather than fixing anything. Properties under their management could be deemed condemned, I don't know who they are bribing to stay in business. DO NOT rent from here, a roach motel is better.

You would need to win a lottery to find a property that is even liveable. It's not worth living with roaches when they get into the electronics and destroy them. Don't bother putting in a "ticket" for maintenance. Emergencies take them a full month to respond, if they respond. You cannot speak to a person for assistance. Once you've paid the security deposit and receive your key, they will not talk to you or even come to the front to see you for any reason. Period.

They do not know business ethics nor care. Money oriented, not at all concerned with client SAFETY or satisfaction. DO NOT BRING CHILDREN TO SEE THE HOMES THEY MAY BE HARMED!

This location has friendly staff. The staff will try to work with clients. The staff suggestions within client income. The location has quite a few affordable housing location. An acceptable site.

I love my apartment. Home Real Estate has been great. I have only had a couple of things that needed attention. They were handled immediately and very professionally. Great value, great location. I couldn't be happier

They fail to fix issues with property. I had $1800 light bill due to an issue with the central heating system. After explaining this to the manager of the company they filed eviction. I went to court and explained and they agreed that the rent shouldn't be paid until the light bill was paid off. They continued to file eviction every month hoping the courts would side with them and they didn't.

I eventually just moved out because they were being refusing to work with me. They were very nasty and lacked compassion. It was annoying to keep getting off work to go to court about the same issue. If you can rent else where do that.

This company preys on people who don't have the resources to understand or fight for their rights. While there are some professional/civil people employed there, the office staff is combative and rude. People call the office when they are having an issue with their home.where they live 24/7 and keep all of their possessions. and the total lack of care or urgency or even compassion from the office staff is appalling.

This company also doesn't take great care of its properties.including paint, repair, and pests. Bad plaster jobs. Bad installation of baths, showers, and toilets. Drooping ceilings and floors. Vintage windows painted shut carelessly. It's a real shame for the city especially classic neighborhoods like West End, Ardmore, and West Salem, because the company manages a ton of different properties.

Many of those properties are vintage homes with lots of potential. I guess that it's more important to squeeze every cent of profit out of the property than create beautiful and sustainable housing for the city and its residents.

Critical: Quality I rented from them in 2018 they put on my credit report I was evicted. For a trash removal of $111 this company has ruined my life with a fake eviction on my credit report

They will not even let you look at an apartment unless you are an "approved applicant". This means you have to pay a nonrefundable $50 application fee, just to be allowed to see an apartment that you may or may not like/want or get into. This is nothing but a money racket! Most apartment complexes will allow you to see available units or a model unit for FREE. Their tactics should be illegal.

Went in this morning as soon as they opened CASH IN HAND because over the weekend I tried to apply several times and the website would not work for me. I tried multiple cards even used a family members card THIS MORNING while I was in the parking lot to try again. Would not work. The man working there was very uninterested. Called again after leaving and the person on the phone was also very blah about it. Terrible customer service. I was warned and did not listen but wow. I get it now. Terrible. I was very eager to give them my money this morning.

Horrible customer service! They tend to take the cheap way in fixing things and, as a result, when you have to call because things keep breaking they treat you as if you are the cause. During all of this, they consistently go up in rent. I do not recommend it and will be looking for another place when the opportunity presents itself.

The owner is Rude but there is a lady Carol she has helped me alot I didn't have heat when I moved in on January 1 2021 13 days later they had company to put in new unit. The house is very old but has fenced back yard for my dog. I noticed after I had already rented the property that they had bad reviews people complained about not getting deposit back.

I paid 1300.00 deposit plus 400$ nonrefundable pet deposit. Needless to say I took pictures of all the damage to the house prior to me moving so if they try not to give my deposit back I have proof and I will contact a attorney.so just be aware.

Very bad, i was trying to get my own apartment for myself I did the application it took 1-3 for them to contact me to see if I got accepted. They called and said I did to go pick up a key to check out the apartment. As I'm waiting for the key at the main office Amanda tells me that I actually did not get get accepted like they didn't have 3 days to review my application and tell me that when they called me.

I could have been looking else where in mean time. They just care about taking the 50$ Fee. They aren't understanding Very rude. They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience.

I've been living in my apartment for over a year now. Repair request get done quick. The rent is extremely cheap for a 2br apartment. You get what you pay for. It's a no frills apartment. I haven't had any major issues with home real estate at all. I recommend them if you are looking to have a safe clean place to rent for a low price.

I have been incredibly happy with my experience thus far. We moved in and had property issues immediately and they were handled within hours. The staff has been prompt and attentive. I had heard negative things from others and have yet to find a single issue. We live in the heart of downtown for the lowest price possible and though we were looking to buy I may never leave my apartment if I can help it, I love everything about being here. We've been very satisfied with the level of service received from both maintenance and the property management staff.

This is a terrible company to rent from. Not very responsive even on the emergency number. Can't rely on anything they say.

Home Real Estate was a spectacular company to rent from. I used to live on 4th St here and thought the location and the property were well managed. I received prompt service, and Carol, the woman who seems to do it all) responds quickly and courteously. Rent prices were fair and I never had any regrets. I'd say my overall experience was quite pleasant, especially compared to my experience with Crowne Properties, where maintenance can take weeks and rent prices are much higher.

I kept my apartment in great condition (no wearing shoes indoors, no holes in walls from hangers, no pet stains or odors) and my entire security deposit was refunded, something I wish all housing companies would do.
