The Receptionist there is something else you call and asked to view a property and she got all these excuses about oh it's winter time it gets dark fast okay but your office hours are until 5 pm and also if a person call an say they want to see a property at a certain time this B**** gonna say they only show properties according to who called and wants to see it so if a person call and say they would like to see a property at 10 am they go off of that time like people don't work, with that being said she wanna show properties during morning hours when people like my self work until 5 smh I hope they never find tenants and if they do I hope they wreck they sh**. They act like they properties in the best areas you should be happy someone even considering looking at these dumps :

This is the worst propaganda Managment company I've ever experienced. Do not use them, I can even get a call back as a landlord. All they will do is take you money, even when the unit is vacant or the tenants aren't paying, they take it out of your reserve fund they make you set up. Go with ANYONE else and it'll probably be better

All the horrendous reviews are warnings so stay away from MPI. They managed my property to the ground. While they collected monthly money, I had no tenant. This company has to be the worst management company. MPI has incompetent people working for them and that is why they have such a bad reputation. Do not give them your business. Read all the reviews and you will know why. I wish I could give ZERO star.

Absolutely terrible company! Never hire them, they are a bunch of lazy scum bags who will take your money every month without lifting a finger besides transfer money for your rent! I hired them To manage my house and they rented it out for a price lower than what we agreed upon, I was told I was I the wrong and had the wrong price! My tenants were late on payments, they did nothing about it, I was told they'd charge late fees but never did.
Communication is terrible with them, I had to be the one to contact them to find out anything. Even then you'll get a bar Minimum 1 sentence reply! Save your Money and Never deal with this Company, they'll cause you more stress when they are supposed to Alleviate that for! Your better off managing it yourself them going with them!

I read the terrible reviews. but I saw a property for rent that looked perfect, so I took a chance and made an appointment to view it. I was told to call an hour ahead of time to confirm, and was given a seven digit "confirmation number" to provide. When I called, I explained what I was calling for and offered the confirmation number. I cannot believe how rude the girl was!
She interrupted me to say, with exasperation (as though this was the 10th time she had to explain this to me), "that's a phone number, not a confirmation number". I reiterated that I was told to call back and provide the confirmation number, to which she replied - with even more irritation - that it's a phone number. I asked how I was supposed to know that, told her she was really rude, and hung up.
I worked in call centers for 15 years and will not do business with any company who can't even be courteous, as being polite and friendly doesn't cost them any extra.

I found a listing for a single family home I was interested in renting. I had never dealt with this company before so I call and they first say before even looking at a property I need to "pre-qualify." All they did was take the names of the two applicants and I assume run a CCAP search or something, because we were instantly told we were approved.
I was then told by the person that their scheduling center would call me to book a showing time. So I get that phone call and I am TOLD that my showing is at 1pm. No one asked me what would work for me, nor did they seem interesting in if people were at their jobs during the day. (I mean, they want employed people renting from them, right? Then why tell someone when they need to be at a showing with no input? Crazy.) So I take the day off work to do this showing.
The house (I arrived first) had literal garbage just dumped in the lawn. Not something that was shown in the pictures. Literal bags of garbage, broken toys about the yard, and grill charcoal just dumped into the bushes. So they informed me that an hour before the scheduled showing time, you need to call a confirmation hotline because and I quote, "We aren't going to send an agent out to show a home and have someone decide to waste our time and not show up." So you can imagine how I felt when it was 1:10pm and there wasn't a damn person around to show me the place.
I call the confirmation hotline back and they were all, "Oh, they didn't tell the agent. She'll be there. CLICK" With no explanation. So I call the main number back and explain that THEY scheduled the time so to not show up on their own scheduled time (which I would have never picked) was ridiculous. They couldn't give me an answer on why this happened and snapped at me that the agent had left and was on her way.
Around 1:25pm an agent showed up. The house had "house sitters" aka someone looked like they were squatting in the house (no real stuff kept there other than a pill bottle, a blanket on the floor, and a hot plate, no joke.) It reeked of freshly smoked cigarettes. Google Maps showed this property in foreclosure just less than a year ago, so I know it had to be the housesitters smoking in the house while they are trying to get it rented!
It smelled awful! I was repulsed that they would even show this house. I asked the agent reasonable questions like, "How much more work is being done?" "Are the floors (which were ripped out) being repaired before the move-in?" "What about the broken cabinet in the bathroom?" to which I was told, "I DUNNO, we just show the place, we don't own it." So they aren't even the property owners which is misleading.
They have nothing to do with the property outside of being a financial mule for it. It was disgusting and impersonal, but mostly I was annoyed at their own excessive, multi-platform approach to showing a property without showing up on their own scheduled time or knowing a damn thing about the property. This experience alone will keep me from ever entertaining renting anything with their name associated with it, ever.

. I also was lied to from the vary beginning. I still have cracked windows that they have never come an fixed. In the winter of 2013 my heater broke on a Sunday night. I called my own repair man and took that amount off my next month rent. The garage door broke with my car in the garage. I called them and they didn't return my message for about 3 days or more. Luckily, my son was able to get the garage door open.
Again the heater has broken this winter. Of course, during one of the last cold spells. I called them to let them know. And reminded them that I had 3 children and it needed to be fixed immediately. They didn't call me back till the next day. Temperature in the house was in the 50s. Luckily, my kids were at there dads. And I just got a letter in the mail saying that I was going to be evicted from the property if I don't pay an outstanding balance of $300.00. Money I never even knew I owed. Stay away from this company.

I had MPI managing my Duplex for a little over 2 years while I was deployed. The reason I'm writing this is not to find resolution or call anyone out. I just want to make other property owners aware because I know all too well how hard it can be to find good care takers for your property. I'll start by saying they had my place rented out very quick and very often. That's pretty much the only good thing I can say.
The tenants from what I had gathered were always bottom of the barrel. Police at the property numerous times, I had multiple doors kicked in over and over, that I had to pay for, not the tenants! (Little insight on management) There fees for repairs and management were reasonable. The repairs where also done with duck-tape and super glue quality. This is where I had to dump MPI, things like doors, cabinets and toilets where being broken (on numerous occasions with different tenants) I was charged and not reimbursed by tenant deposit.
The materials had very high price tags and the parts (ie door and toilets) where from Restore or left over stock MPI had on hand. For the price they should have been new from a big box store. Next slap in the face was getting charged for lawn care despite the lease for both upper and lower unit stating that they WILL maintain the grounds. This is a small yard in West Allis that I was paying over $50 a month to have MPI maintain.
I started getting picture messages from the neighbors showing me my yard looked like a jungle! Grass and weeds over 1 1/2' and 3' around the house. MPI shrugged it off, said they'll look into it. So I was being charged for lawn care and repairs that where never done to the property. The biggest bust was flying back to Milwaukee and seeing the patch job on my busted in half front door that I was charged over $500 to have replaced.
The tenants in the lower unit where evicted and MPI never did a walk through or change the locks. So I came back to find a unit with squatters that tore apart the house and left a dump truck load of trash in the unit. Giving credit where its due the Accounting Manager Ouri was always spot on with following up with me and looking into bogus repairs that didn't involve his side of the house.
Other notable people would be Dave Papermaster there Maintenance supervisor (if you can really call him that) aside from thinking scamming people that cant see the work done, he cant write a coherent email or speak appropriately on the phone to customers I wont bother going any further into details on this, I'm sure there Attorney Rasmussen's going to comment below explaining how everything they do is top notch in the land of OZ.
Its his job and hes good at blowing smoke. Its just to bad hes unaware of local laws, terms of evictions and details of MPIs leases. A big shift in management might fix the problems. All in all if you have a dumpy house and you need quick tenants and shotty workmanship MPI is a great deal. If your looking for quality keep moving.

If I could give less than a one start, I would! If you are trying to lease your property and need to depend on a management company to show and get you property leased. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! They lack any kind of urgency. They take days to follow up with prospective client. I've sent them many leads and have lost prospective tenants simply due to the lack of follow through.
I have to email daily to bug them just to follow up with the leads. I've been passed from person to person. And worse of all, I've now been dealing with the office manager and she's NO BETTER! I will be dropping them as soon as my contract is up.

I cannot say enough terrible things about this company. When we decided to rent a house through them the walk through was before it had been cleaned and they promised to do a whole slew of things like shampoo the carpet ( previous tenets had dogs that had accidents on the carpets) and repair some windows, screens etc. none of which they ever did. Our air conditioning was broken for a month before a repairman came.
It was literally leaking water all over and we had to fill up two bath towels a day with all the muck for a month. Then our dishwasher was broken for a month and a half and had standing water and a foul smell before finally we threatened to move out and not pay rent and finally was fixed. Then when we moved out we had all these bogus charges added to our bill against our security deposit.
We cleaned the house top to bottom when we left but were charged for 'item removal' although we left nothing behind and for fixing several of the things that were broken when we moved in. I even had filled out a form with the company during move in citing the damages and had taken pictures. They refuted the pictures and still charged us.
For instance when we moved in there was a broken closet door sitting in front of its track that fell on my daughter. We moved the door to the side and cited it on our sheet. the track was actually broken. It was on the list for matinence to fix as well as a slew of other things. It was never fixed and when we moved out the company said since we hadn't been responsible and fixed it they had to and were now charging us for it. WHAT?
Oh and no matter who you talk to in the office you keep getting passed around to various people all of who just pass your problems around and nothing gets resolved. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE IT IS NOT WORTH THE MIGRANES!

Although I don't rent a property managed by them, I live next to one, and let me tell you.they do anything BUT manage it! I have witnessed 5 tenants come and go in the past 18 months and not one of them was a decent renter. They were loud (music and fights) rude (use their car horns as doorbells) inconsiderate (park illegally, usually blocking someone elses driveway) and filthy (use the front yard as their personal garbage can).
And when the neighbors call MPI to complain, we never get a return phone call and since the problems never change, we can only assume they never talk to the tenants. If you are looking at renting a property managed by MPI.I'd run away and keep looking!

What a bunch of scum-bags. First off, let me say that my land-lord is a very nice downtown stock-broker who only owns his properties for tax purposes and is eminently easy to deal with and highly professional. A few years ago he contracted MPI as a property management company. Oh my god, the things I have to say about these people. The constantly lose checks, don't provide basic services, employ shady characters, and are just an all-around bad group of people. Thankfully for me, my land-lord lets me deal almost exclusively with him and my interaction with them is kept to a minimum, otherwise blood-shed would almost certainly result.
The most damning indictment I can give them is that the Girl and I are looking for a new place when our lease is up in a few months and the retainment of MPI as a property management company as the leaser is an easy dis-qualifier.
