I cannot think of a worse property management company. I've been trying to resolve a missing package dispute for a year and everyone at Greystar has been absolutely useless. Some of the worst customer service I've ever seen and on top of that they're telling me to pay for the package that the concierge lost. An absolute joke of a company.

Do not rent any apartments that is managed by Greystar. Currently living in a Brooklyn apartment managed by Greystar. One month I was charged over 1000 dollars for electricity bills and it took 2 months for the property manager to send me a image of my apartments meter telling me that it was not their problem and not even giving me access to look at my apartments meter for myself.

Another time I was locked in my apartment from the inside at night when businesses were closed and when calling the property management they gave no help and told me to call a locksmith. GS has also charged me expenses for a washing machine that was broken when I moved In. Once again, do not rent any properties that are managed by Greystar they are a joke!

You should avoid Greystar properties. They can't even keep the same staff for more than a week. Truly, there are never the same people in the office. The ones they sub in don't care, the property manager either doesn't care or can't overcome the difficulties corporate are dealing her. Either way, avoid all Greystar property. Takes weeks and multiple attempts and contacts to fix anything.

My floor is coming up while I have a 15 month old and they still can't schedule a subcontractor to fix it after 2 weeks. The onus will be on you to pester them until you get attention. This management company is vile and rotten to the core. 6/2/2022 Adding to the joy of this building, we've had no AC since Monday. They refused to pay for emergency service, then their "vendor" canceled today.

You can see in the latest photo what we are living with. This is the second time our AC has gone. The first time, they obviously only did a little shoddy patch up, leading us to have electric bills of $400-500 (well above average). The thermostat temp is from right now. Yep. It's right at 80 degrees at 11 pm in my apartment. And it has been all week.

It is nearly impossible to get anyone professional on the phone. Everyone including the leasing agents are unnecessarily rude to applicants( Im speaking on the Bayonne New Jersey location) The manager at Harbor Point, Sydney, is beyond rude and i cant seem to get in communication with corporate to report my experience. Long story short, save your time and money applying to their locations.

From the looks of it, all of their locations experience the same disrespect from current and potential residents. I hope a different management company is able to buy them out and improve their locations.

I live at one of Greystar's properties in Connecticut. We were recently sent a nonchalant email that the pesticide bait box was broken into and someone intentionally spread rat poison around the community and dog park. This was discovered after a dog sadly ingested the rat poison. If someone did this intentionally as they claim--wouldn't you think the cops would be called? No.

The "secure" community won't call the cops because they do not have cameras and there is nothing more that can be done. Our three-sentence email about the matter ended with "please monitor your fur babies." In addition to dogs, we also have so many children that live in the community. I am very disappointed and not to mention beyond scared to live in a community that would allow this to happen.

This is only about the Grey star company and not the employees at Hudson park and river club. I moved out a few weeks and I received two bills for the apartment. One for the carpet, which the security deposit should cover and another ridiculous fee for damages even though the apartment inspection said there were no damages and only the carpet needed to be changed.

Now today they sent another bill of over $4,000 for reletting the apartment and for rent, parking spaces, and utilities from the date I moved out to now even though my account was closed after I moved out and I gave back the keys and parking space holders. This is beyond unacceptable and I will be contacting a real estate lawyer since no one in greystar wants to contact me when I call them, which I have tried contacting them many times.

This company is run by a bunch of crookers and apparently no one works in their accounts receivable office. DO NOT LIVE IN ANY GREYSTAR BUILDINGS! They will charge you over $4,000 for rent even after you move out and to reletting the apartment.

REAL ESTATE OWNERS AND DEVELOPERS STAY AWAY -- GS is a joke.literally hearing from all of the major RE companies they are getting rid of them as property managers. I promise you that you will have regrets if you decide to hire them to manage your assets - especially in the northeast. They could careless about your asset, how it performs, or really anything you as ownership care about.

They only care about increasing their staff at the property to increase the income to GS. They will push their "marketing" on you and make you sign up for every package. Before you agree - actually ask them what your money is being spent on. They will not tell you that over 20% of your budget allocation goes directly to GS as a fee. They are egregious and only care about themselves. Having calls with one of the major accounting companies saying how bad all of their accounts are.

Very unprofessional, have lost more properties under management as property managers than they have organically sourced. Only way they can grow is through acquisitions. Stay AWAY

The building I worked at was taken over by this company and I never heard so many tenants complain about the lack of communication, they were extremely unprofessional and the building manager (Amanda Walker) was rude and replied disrespectful emails. It sucks because she's unchecked to do whatever her and her team wants! A lot of tenants left as well because Greystar gives bonuses to every new lease signed, so they basically user tenants out!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Kingston village NY, worst place to live. Non professional staff. Keep lying, if you ask to fix any issue. Super nasty apartments with broken amenities.

Five Stars for Tony Mason, the Super of four Greystar Communities in the Kingston area. I have been in real estate since 1996, as a property owner, professional and resident. One thing is consistent in my experience. A company is only as good as the people they hire to represent them. The Kingston Collective was horribly neglected and damaged by E&M Management, the previous owner and "management" company.

You name it, there is a problem. From infrastructure, roads, HVAC and plumbing, leaking roofs. many residents live with the repercussions of these problems. Bringing these communities, buildings and apartments back from a state of decay is a tremendous endeavor. Tony has stepped up to the plate like no other. His knowledge and skills as a hands on building Super are so difficult to find.

Also rare. the care and attention Tony provides to every resident he interacts with to help solve their problems. Greystar management, I hope you are reading this carefully. Tony doesn't memorize the Six Pillars of Greystar, he embodies the principles and uses them every day/night in the work he does for our communities. Thank you Tony, you are a treasure.

I live at Hardrock Canyon in Austin TX. It froze here in February and pipes burst. My apartment flooded and 3 months later it's still not fixed! The studs are showing and every time it rains my apartment floods again and something else is ruined! Don't waste your time here because they just give you the run around. Oh and I've been paying full rent the entire time too! My apartment looks like it's in shambles which is so draining to come home too.

I am at The Biltmore on W47th and before gaining Greystar as new mgmt, the building was really struggling in terms of delayed maintenance, very very slow moving construction projects, wires hanging out of holes in ceilings, elevators taking 15-20 minutes to arrive. Greystar, who I can only credit to the new property manager here, not the company entirely, made immediate improvements.

She has been welcoming and conversational with all tenants and our existing doormen, extremely conscientious and warm. She's even curated a selection of community events for us to take part in and sprinkled some beautiful flowers everywhere. It's only been a couple months, but already a vast improvement. I love the personal phone calls to check in after any issues are raised. I can imagine the stress she is under having come into a building with already highly agitated tenants from the last mgmt. Very well done.

This is for the management company only. The staff at the building I live in were excellent our building manager to the concierge staff. Greystar themselves, took 6 mos to refund our security deposit. Even with Covid delays, that is beyond what is legal. They sent our refund back short $600 with no paperwork or itemized list showing the deductions.

It took 6 mos of emails to GET the refund, and when I asked for an itemized list of deductions no response at all. They are the worst, it's too bad because we had a fantastic experience in our building and again, the entire staff is excellent.

Worst experience with maintenance. My wife and I live at the Beacon in Jersey City. We have lived in the Paramount building for 2 years now. We have a request in the Greystar maintenance portal for 3 weeks now! Just to fix a broken electrical circuit. The maintenance is HORRIBLE. We can't get a response from anybody. What good is it to have technology when your staff doesn't respond? Too bad we just renewed our lease.

It pains me to even have to give one star. Every experience I've had with a greystar property has been horrible. These people could not care less about their residents. All they care about is getting as much money as possible from you. Management lies if you're even lucky enough to get a response. They have no sense of urgency to address issues. No luxury building is worth having to deal with these people. I will never live in a greystar property ever again.

Greystar Management is literally the WORST management company I have ever encountered in my 20+ years renting. I live in a new building in Weehawken and while the building staff is great, the onsite management representatives, as well as the corporate individuals I have dealt with, are awful. This company calls the cops on residents at the drop of the hat and for very minor resident issues.

They also place apartments under surveillance by having management staff secretly take pictures of apartment patios and into apartments. They did this to me because on ONE day my new puppy that I rescued pooped on my outdoor couch. They never called me at all and instead went right to the police and then emailed me pictures that staff took of my private patio (as well as the private patios of both my neighbors). This is the most egregious behavior, but they've been the absolute WORST during this pandemic for a variety of reasons.

I currently live in a Greystar Property apartment, Parc Grove in Stamford, CT. This has been the worst living experience of my life. The staff is largely inept and does not care. The complex is run horribly and the response-time for issues is absolutely atrocious. To them, it's a win if they fix something serious within weeks. I've had a huge insect problem, which I've never encountered before.

And after I repeatedly called maintenance about a growing wet spot in my ceiling, the ceiling ended up crumbling because they failed to address. After multiple weeks, I was told they fixed everything. Within 72 hours, another leak. The property manager describes the issue as "new" and "unrelated" and made it seem like that's good news. No understanding or empathy. Absolute worst experience!
