Hales Property Management

Hales took over my condo building within the last year, and they have been incredibly responsive, courteous, timely and professional, much more so than the previous company. They have communicated immensely regarding all things happening in my buliding and have been quick to address items I have asked about. Travis especially has been extremely kind, patient and communicative when I have needed help. It is truly appreciated!

I worked with Kevin LaPointe @ Hales Property Management and had a wonderful experience. He was helpful, responsive, and collaborative throughout a project he helped me with. Things started off fine at the beginning, but over time they got worse and worse. Unanswered service requests, not being able to get someone on the phone. They didn't take care of simple things like changing the lights out in the elevator. When one was down they wouldn't get someone out right away to fix it so people in the building were getting stuck.

My water pressure was off and they told me to watch a Plumbing for Dummies video. I think the worst was when there was a water leak in the building and it caused damage to electricity in our unit. It took over 2 months for someone to finally email us from their insurance company. Clearly they didn't care about it being a fire hazard. I'm so happy their contract is up with our building.

I purchased my condo 20 years ago. Since, we have had at least 3 diferent companies ran our association. Beginning 2020 we switched to Hales. I have been really impressed with the professionalism of all the people from Hales. They try to solve issues in a timely manner, they are always polite and respectful, and they always offer good ideas and solutions. I especially want to mention the dedication of Ms. Ruth Robles. She really has gone out of her way to ensure our association runs smoothly. Thank you.

Been submitting noise complaints for two months straight. Seen no response or action taken. Noise persists late into the night and I was told "we have no official quite hours" and "we suggest tenets solve issues themselves with one another". I consistently have to sleep with earplugs. Im a young 20something so I can tolerate noise, but this has gone on too long. I can't wait to move out when my lease is up.

Amazing property managers DO exist! After several years with a different company that had really poor service, our building switched to Hales and we have been extremely happy with Chrissy in particular. She is responsive, proactive, and communicative - all things that make our jobs on the Board so much easier. If she provides this level of service to all the buildings she manages, I don't know how she handles it all - but she does. If you have the chance to work with Chrissy, it'll make a huge positive difference for your building.

Our condo association recently switched our management company to Hales and they have been a much needed improvement. They are hands on, responsive, and diligent in managing our association.

This management company is the absolute worst. I've been living in Chicago for 14 years now and have worked with several different condo management companies for the two condos that I own. Hales was hired by one of my buildings over a year ago and I have found them to be consistently very rude and overall bad for our building. They prefer not ever to speak to you in person nor on the phone which is difficult from the start as you will be directed to their website to log in and text them.

When I say them, I mean any one of a couple dozen people with no phone number or e-mail address, just names with a picture of the alleged person on their website, that no matter what their response is always ends in "have a nice day!" There is no way to get answers in a timely fashion as you must wait for them to text you back a partial response days later.

You don't get the information you need so you text back but then wait several more days to get another partial answer. You also rarely ever get the same person and there is no way to build any type of working relationship with anyone. There is no point person or manager. And usually I have no need to contact my management company, but the problems they are causing in my building and the admin fees they are randomly charging my account are requiring my attention. I will be taking steps at the board meetings to end our agreement with this company. If I could, I would rate 0 stars.

Hales has been great for our property. We've finally been able to get a lot of our construction projects completed since their team knows how to manage a project. Our manager has been able to help us prioritize future work and ensure we're hitting the right areas first.

Hales has been the property management company for my building for the past year and they are SOOOO much better than the last company. I have yet to have a bad experience with any one of the team members and I always get a response within 24 hours. If you are thinking of switching to a new management company, stop thinking and start doing because you will not be disappointed.
