They have so many red flags. They are not responsive. I scheduled a tour. I had to give myself a tour because there was no one there. I had to go there twice just to see the unit. The apartment complex was raggedy. I was not approved and now I'm very confused as to why. I had to bug them just to give me an answer. Something seems shady. Glad I didn't get it.

I'm not even sure they really were serious. Update: They just bought my apartment complex. I will provide more information later. So far, I did not care for my 1st interaction with them.

Horrible unprofessional company. We lived at the complex on Lou Ella Ln (bel air apartments) for a year, always paid our rent on time, left the unit spotless and even cleaner than it was when we moved in, just to not receive our security deposit back. Their email on their website isn't even a real email address. You can call and leave messages all day and they won't get back to you.

Our neighboring unit was infested with MILLIONS (as per the maintenance team working on it told us) of German brown cockroaches, we were never informed of this and had cockroaches crawling through the walls into our unit. They don't take care of maintenance requests unless you're persistent about it. This company is a joke and should be shut down immediately.

Not to mention they're STILL RENTING OUT UNITS IN THIS COMPLEX EVEN WITH THE INFESTATION. VPMI if you're reading this I'm sending a letter of demand for our security deposit and that'll be followed up with a small claims court case. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE.

They do not fix anything when asked but they don't miss a beat when it comes to cooling rent. Horrible company

I just want new carpet an for our grass to be cut an for our complex to look like it use to 10 years ago am even before, . I hate getting old if feels like a movie.

This place sucks am currently leasing a apartment that is infested with cock roaches and mole and they haven't done anything about it I've been here for six months, most of my neighbors here int his complex are living if u want to avoid a headache for a year stay away from here

If i could give 0 stars i would. As a current tenant, confirm Jorge is an asswhole. He is condesending, rude and ignores maintance request. Never answers calls. Do not apply. I loved my apertment building until we were bought out by VPMI.

Critical: Professionalism Do not Apply here! This company is a scam. They are quick to charge the $35 dollars and can't even return a phone call. Jorge needs to be fired, hes very unprofessional and can't speak English. I repeat DO NOt Apply here.

They're very unprofessional and they humiliate you if you have credit problems due to situations in the past. Their agent jorge is rude and arrogant and makes you feel like you are worthless just because of a few credit problems that are currently being fixed. If I could give this company zero stars I would but google makes us put starts. Beware and never rent from this company.

I wouldn't put in a application here they are very rude and unprofessional I would look at other places do not I repeat do not apply here. Code enforcement will be called.

Please do not rent from them. If I could give negative stars I would. Make sure you keep all documentation. Put cameras on you place, whatever you can do to go up against these crooks. They are the true definition of slum lords, they don't fix anything, they are extremely rude and they just make the whole renting experience a nightmare. If anyone knows how to report them to get them out of business or have some judgement to them. Please let me know.

This company is very unethical and disrespectful they also do things the ilegal way. They like to intimidate people if they think they are not well educated. They harass you with personal questions instead of solving real issues and if they don't like what they hear over the phone they just hang up on you, this just speaks of their terrible business and communications skills.

I requested to receive a contract to sign and after 20 days never received it. I submitted a carbone monoxide leak repair 10 days ago and no one ever contacted me to find a solution. My family and the prosperity were in danger and they didn't care. A request of payment for flooring repair was submitted 8 days ago and no response. When I Was contacted by a different person of the company, he said he had not idea of all these requests and issues of the property. You could get in a legal issue if you use this company! The worst company I have ever heard of. I just saw heir reviews and they have 1.7 Now I know why :/

Condescending and Very rude. Jorge is dishonest and scams people out of $ credit checks when he fully knows you won't qualify. After reading the reviews looks like I dodged a bullet by not renting from this company.

Just went through 16 reviews. Its all the same thing. Gorge is a big scam. This company should be closed down. This is my story. I put in a 1 month notice in April 2018 to leave the apt by June. I cleaned the units and no holes on the wall, no damages. I even met with the mentance guy and he told me you are fine you should get your money back. I ask for my $800 deposit back.

This Gorge said they mailed me a check. For 4 months I keep calling and asking him and he say oh check was returned I will mail it again. I called severally he stop taking my calls. I had to drive down 1hr to Whittier his office on 10/05/18. I met this him George who printed a letter for me saying this is what was mailed to you. CREDIT $800 CHARGES: Clean unite $185, 3/5 REPLACE FLORING $1080, 1/3 PAINT $666. TOTAL CHARGES $1, 931.68. AMOUNT DUE $1,131.68. So I owe them $1,131.68. Lol. This Gorge need to tell whoever taught him scam to educate him more better way to scam. I told him we will meet in court.

Would give zero if I could. Our apartment building is now being "managed" by VPMI. Bathtub got clogged and I put in request online, which is the only way to request maintenance, and today (almost 24 hours later) I haven't heard anything. Stay away from VPMI managed buildings, I will be moving out very soon

PLEASE, for your sake DO NOT trust this agency; especially if it's when dealing with one of their agent name George. They are total FRAUDs who are only after the money from beginning to end. In my experience when applying the agent name George, seem extremely calm and helpful, all of course, to lure the individuals to apply and at the end keep the money. Knowing very well, some individual's have no possible way of being approve( having known the circumstances ) they say to apply online and at the end have the audacity to say you were denied for the same reasons you explained earlier.

Towards the end, they keep your application money without giving exact transparent reasonings and the calm facade fades away when trying to call to get reasons for the rejection. All in all, please for your moneys sake DO NOT, Do Not deal with this agency.

Worst management company I have dealt with. i'm so happy our building got bought out, these people are rude and take 3 weeks to do any type of maintenance in your apartment. I couldn't wait to write a review on them.

Really bad management company! Don't be fooled by the nice properties. Everything starts with the leasing contract 15-20 pages long following by getting your social security copy of ID taking your fingerprints and to top it off take a picture of all the tenant ( how ridiculous is that?) They take days to fix what you report a problem in. You can send them emails all you want but don't expect for them to return any emails nor any calls.

They are very nice when they are trying for you to sign a contract but after that you are On your own. They are very prompt to send you the increase in your rental 2 months before your 1 year lease is over and they do exactly the % max your city allows. For the city of El Monte is 10% and they increased our rent a 9.98%. So keep away as possible as you can from this company. I read the 2 reviews before signing with them but I thought people were just over doing it but now I really do regret signing a contract with this company!

This company is a fraud and it doesn't care about the tenants at all. They will collect your rent every month but once something messes up they'll find whatever reason to blame you for it. When fixing something they will send multiple people to get quotes (plumbing issues) and never get anything done, and IF they finally do get it fixed, then they will half ass it to pay the least out of their pocket.

Oh but if you had the misfortune of dealing with them like we did, then once you move out they will do whatever they can to rip you off for all of your deposit and then some! once we moved out this company wanted to charge more for BS reasons. They gave the highest estimate for "Miscellaneous" reasons that they didn't even fully disclose, and for the stuff thay they did disclose, the estimates were ridiculous! just to screw you for more money they'll come up with whatever reason they can, when we did our best to leave the place as clean as possible!

Who do these people think they are? Being Latino we all have a Tia or tio, cousin or friend who does contracting (licensed and unlicensed) and they were astonished at the quotes. VPMI is a fraud and be assured that we will fight this and expose this fraudulent company. Don't. I repeat DONT deal with these frauds and robbers. Oh and if you read this and for whatever reason STILL decide to deal with them? Then you will have the great displeasure of dealing with the extremely rude and unhelpful Adriane Talamentes.

Really unprofessional and rude company. They treat their tenants really badly. They take pictures of tenants holding the lease in their office, Inspite of taking photo ID, social security and thumb prints. When we decline to take pictures he threatened us not give our money back that we handed over 5 min before. The leasing agreement is not tenant friendly at all. They take all your rights up before you move in. Not worthit.

This is a terrible company. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. The president is the most rude. She says because she is in charge she does not have to be nice, polite or professional to the tenants because she has no one to report to and says that tenants are "a dime a dozen".

One of the worst management groups my husband and I have had to deal with. They are unprofessional and have no idea what is going on with their properties. Weve had emergencies concerning water leaks and people parking in our parking spots and they didnt send anyone out to fix the leaks nor did they have any idea what tow company to call to have said unauthorized vehicles removed from the spots.

The overnight dispatch staff they have answering phones after hours are completely rude and are clearly unhappy people. In our personal Situation they had us moved between 3 diff units because they showed us one, and after we signed they gave us another unit promising the same layout and it tuned out to be different and then finally a third that wasnt ready on time.

We had to call all our bills/utility companies 3 times to switch the addresses. The company has no clue about their properties and are not prompt with responses nor are they apologetic. Were going to move as soon as the lease is up

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. These people are awful. They have one poor guy staffing the entire office by himself. If he's not there, or it's after hours there's an answering service that seems to lose as many messages as it gets through. I have had calls in the past that didn't get responded to for two weeks. One time I asked why things were so slow, I was told "that's just how it is." When I asked if I could speak to someone else about it, I was told that the boss isn't taking calls this month. THIS MONTH.

As soon as this company took over our property, we lost 20% of our occupants. They dropped the rent way down to fill the units, and that only sort of worked. People were still in and out at a really high rate. One time my toilet broke and they let it stay broken for about two weeks. Because we could still flush it by pouring a bucket of water into the the tank and then operating the flush by reaching elbow deep into the water and manually pulling the plunger, we were told "at least it wasn't really broken." Before they were replaced, our apartment manager told me that my neighbor's apartment flooded and VPMI took more than a week to respond while the neighbor had standing water in their unit.

We finally got a new management company, so I can post this without worry of reprisal. I know of some of this sounds unrealistic, but they are terrible. Worse than terrible. If you see an apartment is managed by this company, or if you're thinking of having your building managed by them, run away.

This company is the worst at providing customer service. VPMI's business hours makes it hard for tenants to report any trouble, and once reported our calls do not get returned, and despite how good of a tenant you may be any repairs or issues with the apartment are NOT VPMI's priority. Last repair we had it took a threat to withhold rent money in order for them to get someone to come out and make the repair. Am not really sure what else do they do, but as far as am concerned they continue to loose tenants due to their poor customer service! Most of our neighbors have a very poor opinion about this company

These Fucking People Suck. They Feel that there is no room for error in any bodies life, no one can get laid off, no one can possibly suffer from an illness or be in the hospital, which makes it difficult to pay rent on time. These people are foul and I suggest no one even considers living on any property that VPMI INC owns. They are inhumane and all they care about is pay pay pay, even when you are in a time of darkness.

I believe that everyone should pay their rent on time, but things do happen that are uncontrollable. They also charge late fees, which are illegal, $75 late fees. DONT DO GUYS, I AM WARNING YOU, EVEN IN DESPERATION, DONT DO IT!

This company is so unprofessional. The way they treat their customers and their employees is so bad. I walked into their office and I was pretty uncomfortable hearing someone yelling from another room toward the receptionist in front of me. Its not the way to handle your business when your customer is in front of you. As I tenant, I regret moving into their property and dealing with their unprofessional business transaction.

I guess I should have follow my instinct when I heard the person screaming. When I first moved into my apartment nothing was ready and I had so many issues due to that, yet this company took no responsibility and no rush to fix things. For now, I'm stuck with this crappy company and will get the hell out of here once my lease is over. Hope this helps!
