Associate S. Parker got frustrated when we called her on a Sunday about a matter of safety! Our smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were malfunctioning, and she had the gall to tell us not to contact her, that it was the wrong number! The emergency number went to voicemail, too, by the way.

I called and the lady who answered was very "dead" All she kept saying was "ok" when I was trying to get information on a rental. I finally got an email for a girl to get a tour. I had to email her twice since I wasn't getting anything back. My fiance and I have never had a problem getting into a place but were told we couldn't get into a house because my fiance has medical bills in collections. which is sad. I have the perfect house on their website but they are very strict. We make 3x the rent and have really good rental history.

Critical: Professionalism Most unprofessional experience I've had with a company of this nature. Very disappointed! Reached out 5 times in various capacities to inquire about listings and never received any kind of call back, message or email. I highly recommend doing business elsewhere

For those who are diligent in reading reviews I am hoping that my review will help someone in the future to avoid the issue we have faced with this company as far as 'renting' a property. Make sure you move in on the first of any given month because they base rent on a 30 day month to keep it even across the board, sounds good, makes sense. but if you move in on a month with 31 days they will divide the rent by 30 days but base your occupancy by 31 days thus making you pay an extra day of rent.

This is why I suggest, if you have the chance, to move in on the first day of the month to avoid this. We did not have that luxury so we are now owing an extra days worth of rent because we moved in during a 31 day month. I was upset but since they would not budge on the price I figured I would leave a review in hopes to help someone avoid losing a days worth of rent.

It may seem small and I wont share the exact amounts but we put down well over 6k just to move in so one days rent to me was one day too much. I think I am more upset about them dividing by 30 days but multiplying based on the 31 days. But I have a beautiful home and we are happy with that, just be aware of the actual day you move in. Update: we have been here over a yr now and they are not a bad company to rent from.

My rant at first was only because I was frustrated, I guess its a normal thing. This pandemic is making life hard in general but at least we have a nice place to ride the storm.

For two different properties we were told we were the first to apply, including one she said wasn't even listed yet as she was just now putting it up and it was in our price range, we had all of our information on our applications and everything was correct - yet they went ahead and gave the rental to a different person instead, without telling us how they got it when its first come first serve.

They DID refund our application fees, but only because we kept asking how their process works, how the selection works, what information did we not have - I think they just wanted us to not complain and 'leave them alone' after being caught out in either lying about us being first just so we would pay to apply, or not actually following the selection process and just picking and choosing their applicants on whatever criteria they happen to have that day.

They're very friendly, if very dim on the phone while getting you to hand over money, and then completely play dumb after the fact of getting you to pay for something that isn't actually going toward a property.

My husband and I are relocating to Washington from the East Coast this summer and were in the Everett area to see what was available as a rental. A few days before we had to return we stumbled upon the Sagewood community in Marysville. A big thank you to Summer and Arin for accommodating us on short notice and scheduling an appointment to see the townhome before we had to leave.

And most importantly, slotting us into a property with availability that will meet our needs. Summer was also very patient throughout the application process.we haven't rented in over 40 years and didn't really know how to navigate it. Making such a big move is very exciting.but very stressful-many thanks to Summer and Arin for making it a little less so.

I was interested in renting a property but quickly changed my mind due to the odd (I won't say unprofessional, as it was only two emails, but it was certainly not what I would expect) response to my questions from Summer Parker and the SEVERAL low reviews from various websites on this property manager. I asked to do a virtual tour and my question was met with a question asking me if I'd reviewed the requirements to rent.

Which means she disregarded the "tell us about you" portion that I provided as requested. Next, I asked about the pet fee and was met with a short response and still no mention of the virtual tour. The pet fee is outright ridiculous, specifically the fact that it's not refundable. This particular property wanted $500 up front and $50 a month in "pet rent".

My pets are well behaved and haven't caused any damage to any home in 10 years of renting. To be clear, I would have no issue with the fee in that amount if it were refundable. That's a $1,100 profit if no damages occur, why not make it refundable? The price of the property also went up $100 in one night. I could see that as a slight mistake but coupled with everything else it certainly seems like a trend of poor management.

In short, I'm convinced based on the terrible reviews and the odd manner the staff "answers" emails to pass on renting from your company. There are several reviews here about how Summer's attitude is unprofessional yet nothing has been done. If she is answering all of the emails, she is the face of your company! Terrible first impression on potential renters.

I find it sad that a company like this does not follow through. I was in contact with Summer Parker regarding homes my husband and I wished to tour while in Washington for a few days. She responded to several emails stating two of the homes would not be available for touring but there would be one we could look at. She stated she would let me know that Saturday after her noon appointment when we could tour the home.

I never heard back from her. I emailed her again asking if we could tour and still nothing. I'm sorry but moving out of state and trying to find a home is stressful enough but to be ignored is just disrespectful, not to mention its not the best look for Windermere. Luckily we found the perfect home and don't have to worry about dealing with this company in the future.

Summer County and Brinda denied my sister and her family because of esa animals and made up other reasons and gaslight my sister over and over and just lied about not being in contact with their leasing office they are with now which was confirmed a lie. Thankful my sister has reported this company. i would not give these people my business if this is how they act before you even sign a lease! nasty business!

My opinion: Do not do business here if you value honesty. (Read the 1-star reviews!) I contacted this business seeking information about a rental and asked two questions. The VP and owner replied with only an answer to the second question. I responded with a bit of snark about how the issue I'd asked about in my first question must be an issue then and she came back with a wild claim that the question she hadn't answered was the only one that came through, what other questions did I have?

I responded to this apparent repetition of dishonesty with disdain, telling her that she had only answered the other question, not the one she claimed was the only one that came through. I further said I was no longer interested, I insist on honesty in my business relationships and she somehow thought that was justification to insult me by claiming they "also insisted on honesty and not spam".

I don't know if she was trying to claim or merely imply that I was dishonest and spamming (how is inquiring for details on a property spam?). Here is how I see our brief relationship and the reason I consider her dishonest, unscrupulous, a poor communicator, arrogant and rude, never to do business with: 1. I ask for 2 details about a property, one about smell from a sewage "lagoon" a mile away and one about tenant screening. 2.

She responded with an answer to the second question only. 3. I responded with "I guess you can smell the sewage then." 4. She replied with (approximately) "Can you clarify? I was responding to your inquiry about one of our available properties." 5. I reminded her I'd asked two questions and she'd only answered the second one. 6. She replied that only the "sewer" question had come through, did I have any other questions. (Note: I'd asked about a sewage lagoon nearby, not a sewer, and that was NOT the question she answered in her initial response.) 7.

I told her I was no longer interested, I insist on honesty in my business relationships. 8. She responded with "We also insist on honesty and not spam." I don't know how she managed to pull that out of her rear but I found it insulting, especially given she was the one who had been evasive to dishonest in my opinion. Not wanting to correspond with her any further and being deeply disturbed by her attitude and apparent dishonesty, I chose to take my opinion on her business behavior here.

I had to read some of these comments. One states they paid the utility bills weeks ahead of move out. Well that explains the amount Windermere paid and then billed you. You can't pay your final utility bill before you move out as your still currently using the services. The meter is not read until you move out and then you are billed one last time.

I have lived in my place since February this year. Each and every problem that has arisen has also been handled very professionally. I personally enjoy renting from Windermere. I am always welcomed with smiles and courtesy when I walk into their office. We as a family plan to stay here or rent another place from this company if we do move. Arin is very professional with her clients and appearance. Keep up the good work Windermere.
