I would give zero stars if I could. Chris was very nice in the beginning that's why I hired him to rent out my house. Soon after I realized I made the wrong decision. It was in my lease that Chris and my tenant signed that the tenant needed to call and set up new account with propane company when putting other utilities in their name. This never happened and I had to email and call Chris several times and complain because they were charging propane to my credit card that I was obligated to pay while I called the propane company and argued with them that I don't live there but the tenants needed to pay well they needed the tenant to call and set up their own account so I had a fight with him fight with Chris to get reimbursed the charges.
This happened several times. I was beyond frustrated at this point finally, 11 MONTHS later they set up their account. Also my tenants paid late quite frequently, I had to reach out to Chris each month and ask him if my tenants paid and why they had not paid yet. This past bad winter we had, I had a leak in my well line, Chris has his company come out to see what the deal was but don't do any work for me and I got charged $795 when I call AM plumbing, who he's friends with to see why it was so high, the owner wouldn't tell me anything said she would only speak with Chris, freaking mind blowing!
So I had to pay it.talk about furious! The whole experience with Chris was just a beating. The whole reason I hired this property management company to be the middleman and make it easier for me. Boy did I learn a hard lesson this was not the case at all. I was stuck in a contact with Chris for a year, as soon as it was up, I cut ties with him. After my contract was up with Chris THEN I find out that he never collected the security deposit for my tenants that clearly states in the lease that they have to pay, so now here I am over a year later and now myself having to try to collect the security deposit that was over a year ago.
Another beating. Tenant stated that Chris told them they didn't need to pay it. Like WOW! I don't blame my tenants, I believe Chris for it all. So now a year and a half in with my tenant and all I have done is lost money. I'm not one to complain but I have to tell my story but I felt like I was done wrong in so many ways. I hope this never happens to anyone else.
