The Abbey Company is a real estate operating company founded in 1990 by Donald G. Abbey, a 45-year veteran of the national real estate industry. The Abbey Company was formed in early 1990, after four years as managing partner for a Honolulu based acquisition group that became three public R.E.I.T.'s.
Our current portfolio consists of more than 2.3 million square feet of Office, Retail and Industrial properties strategically located throughout California. Since its inception in 1990, The Abbey Company has focused on acquiring well-located assets in vibrant communities with value added opportunities through re-leasing, capital improvement, and redevelopment.
The Abbey Company manages all of its properties exclusively with its own Property Management Professionals. Local Property Managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of their properties alongside a robust staff of in-house Engineers, Construction Managers, and Property Services Professionals.
