I have lived in my apartment for about 8 months and have loved the experience. The building is in a great location, the maintenance team is friendly and attentive, and the hallways are regularly cleaned. I would definitely recommend!

Absolutely disgusting building that they want to charge you an arm and a leg just to move into a cockroach infested building that is eventually going to be taken over by luxury real estate developers and be demolished to build brand new luxury apartments. Avoid this scam at all costs. They haven't put in the effort to earn your hard earned money.

There is a huge drainage issue causing an infestation of drain flies and waterbugs in your apartment. management will not let you know ahead of time that they will not be renewing your lease, so be ready to be contacted by endless 3rd party brokers wanting to show your apartment while you're occupying it. Oh! And Copley has yet to give any updates regarding a transfer of lease or a replacement apartment and they're raising the rent by $950. DO NOT APPLY.

I have been living with Copley for almost a year and I decided to continue the lease. The service is great and they always reply my email pretty fast and professional. The resident portal system is very easy to use/update the messages for the resident. The maintenance team is also very nice and their works are great! I can say The Copley Group is one of the reasons I love Boston! 5/5

We are very happy with the maintenance service by Copley (Queensberry St). We placed a request to change light bulbs in the morning, and it was immediately taken care of in the afternoon, even though I put it as low priority. I forgot to provide new light bulbs, but the person replaced them anyway with his spare ones. And he was very nice to our cat, making sure she did not get through the door. And this is not the first time they respond quickly to our maintenance requests. Great service!

First off, the apartment I am renting from The Copley Group looked beautiful when I toured it. I was pleasantly surprised when I moved in. Then the chaos ensued. When we signed the lease, the management team failed to inform us that all of the gas hookups/shutoffs for the entire BUILDING were in our unit. We have lived here since June 2021 and I have had National Grid people in my apartment every single week since then.

It was only after we complained so many times did they start giving us some sort of notice. Even now, the maintenance people don't show up on time. The water heater leaks. Ceilings leak brown liquid. Endless construction and interruptions. Faulty plumbing. I am not even halfway through my lease and I want out. The apartment may seem like a good steal, but it is a trap. This has been the worst renting experience of my life

OUR APARTMENT IS LITERALLY INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES AND COPLEY JUST NONCHALANTLY SENDS AN EXTERMINATOR. Ok what about the TENS of NEW cockroaches in traps we see every morning? What about our fear of cockroaches being in our room, our clothes, food?! This level of apartment sanitation is illegal and we're going to withhold paying rent if this issue isn't fixed ASAP. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, paying a few hundred more per month is worth it

My girlfriend moved into one of their apartments less than a month ago (I am not a resident), and there has been a continuous stream of large cockroaches the entire time (~5-10 per day). The fact that this started immediately makes it clear that this problem was known prior to the move-in date, and nothing was done about it nor was my girlfriend told about it.

While the company has now hired a pest control company to solve the problem, they have not been flexible or understanding with respect to possible solutions to a problem that is frankly disgusting and of nobody's fault but their own. Bug problems happen, but there are ways of dealing with it besides ignoring the problem until someone complains and then basically saying "it is what it is, deal with it" until they solve it. It's easy to imagine that similar problems are going on in other units owned by the Copley Group.

Now a resounding 5 stars! We rented from the Copley group for 2 years, and have nothing but good things to say. Prompt, professional, friendly service is the norm with this group. Buildings are clean, communication is frequent about maintenance, and when something goes wrong, they're kind and helpful. There is a monthly newsletter that goes out to all residents with info on upcoming neighborhood events, seasonal reminders, block parties, etc. really nice touch. The only reason we left was for more space in the suburbs. Rent from Copley group - you won't be disappointed!

I lived in a 100 Jersey st apartment for over 2 years and the entire staff there is very helpful and responsive. From Will to Neil. To Kyle who helps you with your application. At 100 Jersey, we have a maintained small gym, a coffee machine and a concierge service that takes care of all your packages to the apartment door.

I have lived here for 3 years and the property management has been exceptional. Read some of my reviews of previous management companies to get a sense of how big of an impact a bad company can have on your experience. Copley has been thoughtful, responsive to requests, and extremely professional. They are constantly improving the building I've been in and finding ways to make residents happier.

They even had a nice gift bag when I moved in and sent everyone dunkin donuts gift cards in the winter. Small gestures they didn't have to do but I appreciate them. They truly deserve all 5 stars!

Everyone here is very quick to respond, so no complaints there, but personally my roommate and I have not had a positive experience with this group. Our apartment bathroom has been growing black and red mold all over the ceiling ever since we moved in due to the fact that they painted several layers of thick acrylic paint over the bathroom vents that allow the shower moisture to actually leave the bathroom.

Our kitchen is absolutely filled with gnats despite us keeping it clean and setting up bug traps. Our fridge broke and we spent three days without one; emailing maintenance and the property manager about it every single day, multiple times a day. I don't want to be mean, cause everyone I've ever come into contact with here has been very nice, but oh my god to pay so much for such a badly maintained apartment building, even in the city, is so insane.

Always quick with any repair requested. Easy to use the online portal to request any repairs in the apartment or anywhere in the building. Usually done the next day. They ask for feedback a few times a year and actually make changes based on people's suggestions.

I hesitated to write this, but I feel that future renters should be warned. The only positive thing about Copley is their maintenance team, who are wonderful, courteous and prompt. The negatives are as follows: 1. COCKROACHES: you heard me. Cockroaches. The apartments on the 100 block of Queensberry are full of them, although they will not tell you that.

If you don't want to deal with finding dead ones every morning when you wake up, do not rent from here. I have traps, they have attempted to fumigate the sewer, but they are still around. I wish someone had told me that before I moved in, so I'm hoping this will help someone before they decide to rent. 2. Heating: this past winter, my heater has been broken, and I have had to repeatedly ask maintenance to come and fix it, to no avail (not for lack of trying, bless the maintenance team. the buildings are just old and poorly maintained).

I spent the entire winter huddled in my winter gear with a space heater that I had to purchase myself, racking up the electric cost. Part of this was due to a broken window, which took months to identify and fix 3. Constant water shutoffs: don't expect to have water half of the time if you're at home during the day Despite all of this, the management team for this property has remained extremely inflexible when it came to the additional costs that I have had to incur while living here. They made multiple mistakes and instead of owning up to them, rudely blamed me for them.

I've lived in a Copley Group apartment for 3 years in the Fenway/Queensberry St area. If you are looking for a quiet apartment with proper working hot water and responsive managers, do no rent from The Copley Group. This includes the recently renovated apartments. For the past 6-7 months, there has been major construction to nearly all buildings under the Copley Group, despite the Property Managers initially stating it would be ~30 days. Recently, new construction in my building has been stopped due to illegal/non-permitted work being performed.

Although my primary challenges have been regarding the hot water and dealing with the two Copley Group Property Managers, Neil Dang and Ryan Pittsley. As their response to the hot water concerns in the building for the past several months (no hot water in the building and extreme temperature fluctuations during showers) has been poorly addressed to say least.

The response was so poor after having no proper hot water for months, I ended up recording multiple videos proving the issue was genuine. Their response was that having no hot water is considered an inconvenience. Then, upon speaking to other tenants in the building who also placed several maintenance requests for hot water issues, the response from Ryan was that it was "hearsay".

Happy to expand on these types of responses from the Copley Group Managers as unfortunately there are several, all very similar in nature. In my recommendation, it's not worth renting from the Copley Group if you have to deal with the Property Managers, which is typically every lease/rental.

Have lived here for 2 years and love it! The team has been so helpful with making sure I am in the best apartment (not to mention maintenance fixes all issues within a couple hours). Thanks to Chloe and Jeff for being so supportive during these trying times!

Very disappointing. my apartment is basically very old, and when I first moved in there were cockroaches (huge), spiders, ants, and very tiny little bugs as well. also my apartment does not get any sunlight. Thought my apartment was relatively affordable near fenway area, but there were definitely reasons. I can hear anything the guy upstairs says, and I can also hear him walking around.

Also there was a huge hole around pipes in my bathroom, and there was renovation going on upstairs when i first moved in but they didn't even let me know. So I had to bear the debris / noise coming through the holes from upstairs. basically my bathroom ceiling was collapsing. it's been there for a month or so. they say their service is very good but they just put something in the hole to block it but debris keep falling down. moreover, dirty water came down from the kitchen ceiling, which was pretty gross. I asked them if i could get any compensation for all those, but after all, only thing i got from them was increased rent for the next term.

I have lived here in Boston on Peterborough St since Sept 1st. Before winter came I had no water at all for two Mondays. The basement laundry room is routinely flooded. I had no heat and hot water for a full day in November. Today I have no heat and hot water and it is once again the dead of winter. There was a leak from the ceiling of this building and they just put a garbage bag under it. I am not sure what I am paying rent for anymore. AVOID

I would give zero stars if I could. This is a horrible management company that doesn't care anything about their tenants. The buildings are old and in bad condition despite their constant "renovations" in painting walls or replacing hallways carpets with ghastly neon green "new" carpet. The rooms are small with little sunlight. There have always been mice problems and Copley does basically nothing to help you. Stay away from this place.

The worst management company that I have ever experienced. Claimed that they were renting me an apartment in a building of preofessionals. Not sure what type of professionals are able to be up all night, playing loud music and clearly using drugs/alcohol every day of the week. There is absolutely no professional commitment from this management company to the peace and wellbeing of its residents.

As long as they are collecting their rent payments, they will do nothing to improve the experience of its residents. When I complained about the noise disturbance, I was told that this was to be expected and reasonable.

I never had a bad experience with the Copley Group until I asked them to do something. I would NOT recommend working or renting with the Copley Group. My husband and I lived in a high-rent, Beacon Hill apartment for over 2 and half years. It was originally managed by Bobson for the first two years we lived there. We enjoyed renting from the Bobson team, but as soon as the Copley Group took over, we encountered numerous issues.

For starters, we put in a request to have our fireplace fixed in 2017 and it has yet to be fixed (12/7/2018). However, my main grievance with them is their complete disregard for any customer service. After two and a half years, we needed to unexpectedly break our lease. We understand how difficult it is to do that in Boston apartments, but we paid a fee and agreed to find replacement tenants at a HIGHER rent than what we paid.

We brought several interested applicants to the Copley Group and the Copley employees made the process difficult and treated everyone involved with disrespect and rudeness. We even had an applicant tell us "We didn't feel comfortable with the management company in general, particularly after our talk with Kyle". The employees, specifically Kyle and Jeff, not only didn't assist us, but went out of their way to be as unhelpful as possible by not answering phone calls, voicemails, emails, texts, etc.

They also provided us with incorrect information (lease terms) to make it more difficult for us to find replacements. Unless you anticipate never needing anything from your management company, I would avoid the Copley Group in Boston at all cost.

We rented an apartment managed by the Copley group for 2.5 years. We loved it. They cleaned and painted our apartment before we moved in. They were very fast with maintenance requests, always coming by within 24 hours to help us. They keep the buildings clean and safe. They allowed us to search for a replacement when we had to terminate our lease because of moving abroad. Highly recommended!

Stay away from this management company. They will first ask you to fill out information to pull your credit information, then they will give you a lease agreement of 27 pages which basically you will give them right to do anything they want to do with you. They will come to you apartment unannounced for non emergency matters, the keys opens every apartment and when you need security cameras footage they will not give that to you or police. There are tons of other management companies rent from them you are paying a considerable amount of monthly rent and you don't need to agree to bs demands of agreement.

Completely and hopelessly inept and ineffective. Since it took over management of our Brighton condominium in January, it has been one misstep after another. The company is overwhelmed by even basic management tasks. The superintendent it hired has resigned in frustration, Copley never sent owners any notice or made interim coverage plans, so our pool has been locked shut since super's departure.

And despite being given six months to establish a basic service from previous management groups -- on online portal for EFT payments, communication and maintenance requests -- it has proven incapable of doing that. Its policy to refuse building access codes to UPS/FedEx carriers is resulting in stolen and compromised packages -- one of which was found in our foyer covered with human excrement; a fitting visual for this group.

Pro: A pretty good deal in Back Bay and low up front costs Cons: -Management consistently has entered our units without notice -My neighbors and I are all paying grossly different amounts despite having identical units. -MY AC IS BROKEN DURING A 90 DEGREE WEEKEND AND THEY AREN'T FIXING IT UNTIL MONDAY -Get woken up by street noise EVERY DAY -I had RODENTS in my unit for 3 months without management helping out -The "higher up" at this company is a 25 year old kid who knows nothing about property management -We had packages stolen for months without management doing anything to help out Bottom line: If you want a good deal, move here.

But don't expect anything. I've spent at least 3k staying in hotels due to rodents and my AC not working this weekend. Rent is $2,500 but for an extra 1k would not have to deal with these horrible people and basically not being comfortable spending time at my own home.

Can't be worse. There is a leaking in the laundry for several days and Copley just realized that on Dec 23 morning! Then they wanted to get into my apartment and work in my closet where I put all my clean clothes and personal stuffs. They called me and I told them to wait 15 min and I would take out my clothes to let them work. But they didn't wait!

They just put some of my clean clothes on dirty window and threw away all my clean shoes! They even put their dirty clothes on my bed, which I just changed clean sheet for! They still left my other clothes in the closet and started to work with the ceiling tile and dig holes on the wall, so all my personal stuffs were finally covered with dust! I have to spend all the Christmas weekend to do laundry!

And Copley just told us they were all set that day, they would stop working after 12 pm to celebrate Christmas and come back after holiday. But my apartment will be a big mess for the whole holiday!

Just moved in about a month ago and have had a great experience. The location is perfect, maintenance staff is very efficient and prompt, and I have nothing but good things to say about Joanne who takes care of any issue or question I have had. I have to say I am very satisfied!

Let me preface by saying I have not personally lived in one of the Copley Group's residences, but my mother has, and I have been looped in on all of the rude, uncaring correspondences with them. Sewage has now backed up into my mother's apartment not once, but TWICE. Throughout the kitchen, in the dishwasher, all over the counter (ruining various appliances), and this last time there was so much it spilled out of the kitchen into the living room carpet as well.

And remember, this isn't just sink water we're talking about. this is sewage. Although the maintenance/cleaning staff appears to have been nice and helpful (a big thanks to them), the actual property managers have been rude, defensive, and completely unhelpful from the get-go. They refused to reduce rent or compensate my mother in anyway for the time she has had to spend out of the apartment (for obvious health/safety reasons), and also refused to move her into another unit.

Not only that, they are extremely unapologetic and act as if every renter should expect to have sewage poured into their homes twice in one month. I do not usually like to post negative reviews about any type of establishment, as I prefer to deal directly with the company and see if they will be kind enough to sort things out on their own. However, as the Copley Group has been completely unhelpful, I want to be able to notify future renters in Boston of the troubles they may encounter should they rent with Copley. And, perhaps the Copley Group will read this and decide to treat their renters with more common decency and respect.

I have never written a review, but I felt compelled to warn people about the Copley Group. My grievances are as follows: 1) rude front office 2) Poor maintenance that cuts corners and comes into your apartment WITHOUT NOTICE. 3) Poorly maintained buildings where they only do the repairs after things have broke or have gone totally sideways. 4) Mice problem that I have complained about on multiple occasions to no avail. 5) Premium high prices for College flop house conditions 6) Unprofessional staff for a management company that supposedly has over 1000 units. 7) did I mention the rude, unhelpful, and arrogant front office people at the main number and the maintenance office?

My building was recently purchased by the Copley Group and I can honestly say that I miss my old management company, clearly the Copley Group is more concerned with the bottom line than their tenants. And I noticed they created a new profile on yelp to escape the other terrible reviews. Do not forget to check Copley Group (without the Fenway in the name).

While the apartments are large and spacious, quite a few of the the Copley Group staff are extremely rude and unprofessional people, particularly Karen Cipriani. They withhold information that they are required to give by law and refuse applicants without any reason and when they are refused they do not explain why, which is required by law. I got the feeling that they believe the are above the law because they own and rent so many apartments. I do not recommend this rental agency and I will be filing a formal complain against them as a group as well as certain staff members like Karen. Beware.
