Over my career, I can't tell you how many times I've heard other Atlanta property managers say they can't wait to retire or sell the company. Property management is not a passion for all, or even many.
As the Office Assistant, you will be our base command. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, preparing contracts, data entry, assist all Rent Appeal staff in their day-to-day operations, pay bills, send notices, manage social media, manage the office, quality control, etc. This position is 9 to 5, Monday - Friday, working from our beautiful office in Chamblee/Brookhaven.

Job was largely receptionist/customer service for tenants and tenant applicants with issues. Not an issue, just needs to be fully explained to future prospective employees. Company has some challenges staying focused and addressing problems head on. However, I do believe the individuals working there are passionate about the business. Owner does like to treat the office with lunch every other week or so.
This was much appreciated. Typical day includes getting USPS mail, checking email, answering phones, handing tenant questions and issues, paying tenant related bills, processing tenant move in/out, insurance complaisance, HOA violations and the like.

This company is managing a townhome that I am renting out. When I arrived to the townhome, it was very dirty (hair, dirt and marks all over the wall). They said that was cosmetic and they already had a cleaner come in. When I pushed, they offered me a $75 credit for cleaning a 2400 sq ft place. There has also been several drawers, door frames and holes that I put in a Maintenance request for and it has been 2 weeks since with no word. I have reached out to our rental property manager regarding these issues more than 5 times with little to no response. OWNERS DO NOT USE THEM

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD My husband and I submitted an application and when calling rent appeal to ask when they would review they said early in the week, but they had 5 applicants ahead of us. When logging onto the website the house we applied for was still available to submit applications. Why would they leave a house up for applications when I was told there were 7 applicants they were reviewing?
I believe Rent Appeal leaves these houses up and rakes in all the application fees which is $75 PER A PERSON. So basically they stole $150 from us. I would never rent from this company. Also they do not answer calls I would be afraid if there was a maintenance issue I would never be able to get ahold of someone.

I have known and worked with Jenn for several years, and she is an outstanding entrepreneur who takes great care of her customers. She is extremely knowledgeable in her industry, and does a super job working with owners and tenants. Jennifer is super nice and professional, but she fails to see the bigger picture, and is unable to think outside of the box! Update - We eventually rented the home that we found and its amazing. The owner was elderly and sold us the home for nearly nothing (after less than a year). Now the home has surpassed $350k in value. And its paid for. So, in this regard, you may very well want to take the same path that I did.
When people shoot you down, or try to exploit you, its always the same process time after time, you provide them the middle, and you march on. Good things are to come. Do not run around paying these "application fees". You must control your destiny, my credit did take a hit during the recession, after all, I am a millennial, I had a new wife, and a new baby.
I was doing great, but that all changed when the recession hit. These credit companies use a system that is failing. And Jennifer uses another system entirely that provides an even lower score than they do. So all the odds are stacked against you. As if my life wasn't already hard enough as it was. I can recall telling Jennifer she had it wrong, and she cannot rely on the credit system so heavily, after all, I had offered to pony up so much cash, that things could not have failed for her.
But she was obsessed with the fico score. So now we ask, who was right? Well, my home is paid in full, my cars are paid for, one of which is a brand new corvette for which you can find on my facebook page. And life has never been better for us. In that regard, maybe I should thank her and the "fico bosses" for their greed. I say it again, you cannot rely entirely on fico score, the totality of ones circumstances must be accounted for!

I just sold my condo through Appeal property managed by the same people at Rent Appeal. I went with them because they are knowledgeable for both rental & sell/buy. I wasn't sure what I wanted at the beginning and Jennifer was very helpful going through the options with me. When I decided to list, Laura was my agent. She was very professional and well experienced that I trusted her with the whole process. She was on top of everything and reply promptly to all my messages. Update - I'm an owner with a long history with RentAppeal. I continue to have nothing but outstanding things to say about this company. Everyone I work with is wonderful from Laura who handles maintenance issues to Cara, property manager to Jennifer. I have never had any issues ever. They communicate with me quickly and thoroughly and I do the same with them.
They make suggestions when I ask for opinions and have a very good list of vendors that are fairly priced and do great work. I recommend them highly and wish I had the same level of service with another rental in a different state. If I could clone RentAppeal I certainly would. I was a tenant for 3 years with Rent Appeal. In my opinion their processes only improved over time. The website to pay your rent and make maintenance requests was very user friendly. I honestly cannot think of one instance when I did not receive a prompt and courteous response from either Jennifer or Alyson. Jennifer is definitely passionate about her business, which she should be, and Alyson is a great assistant.
I actually purchased the home I was renting and Jennifer was a great resource throughout the buying process and actually gave me words of encouragement when the closing took longer than we had anticipated. The sellers were awesome also and I couldn't ask for more when it came to communication. Jennifer has even reached out to me AFTER the closing several momths later to check in and make sure I was aware of filing for my homestead exemption.
She could have simply walked away after the deal closed. Even the previous owner has reached out to me; which they certainly were not obligated to do after the closing. Overall, I had a great experience with Rent Appeal and would definetely recommend their services!

Rent Appeal, Cara has been my contact since they took over management for the condo I leased for the last 4 years. Cara and the team have been nothing but professional and catering to me. The website is great for lease payments and any other needs. Cara has always communicated great via email, but mostly text and phone conversations. I've had a GREAT experience with Rent Appeal!

I had the worst experience with the rent appeal staff. I applied to rent a property they manage. My application was denied for no legitimate reason. I asked for this decision to be put in writing it's been two weeks and I still haven't received it. Mind you I meet the income, credit, and background qualifications.

The Rent Appeal and Appeal Property Group went above and beyond to prepare and sell our rental property. The property was in a poor condition when we switched to using Rent Appeal for property management. We worked with Appeal Property Group when we decided to sell the house. Since we were out of state, Jennifer and Laura managed the entire process from finding a contractor to making selections to making sure the sale went smoothly.

Communication is not the greatest. When issues arose at our rental home took too long. The last issue with possible mold smell coming from our HVAC we were told that we would be paying for the workers to come out and take a look. We rent for a reason because my family move every three years generally due to active duty military. This is the first time I have ever been told that WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY. SMH.for awareness my wife and I keep a very clean house and take care of each rental well. Rent Appeal can do better than this!

I've owned rental properties for 9 years, and the biggest challenge I've had as an out-of-state investor is ensuring I have good property management for the property. I've been through numerous property managers because of how bad they can be. Rent Appeal is by far, no contest, the best property management I've worked with. Their systems and communication are literally flawless in my opinion, and I'm honestly not sure they could make my life an easier than they already do.
I have properties in other areas outside that which Rent Appeal services, and the contrast between the PM I have on those properties and Rent Appeal is like night and day. I wish I could have Rent Appeal managing all my properties! They are truly a dream to work with. Not easy to find in property management.

I have used Rent Appeal as my property manager for about 10 years until I sold the property. They made being a remote landlord almost painless. They found excellent tenants, the last staying with the property for 8 years. The tenants took reasonable care of the property and Rent Appeal monitored them well. Maintenance was handled easily and often Rent Appeal's contractors were more cost effective than anyone I could find. I highly recommend them and would use them again if I owned a rental in the greater Atlanta area.

I have been working with Rent Appeal for one year and I'm very impressed with the level of professionalism and expertise of the group. Jennifer was super helpful and patient with answering all of my questions prior to me signing a landlord contract with the company. Within thirty days of signing the contract, we had a signed leasing agreement for a tenant to move into the property.

I've been a tenant with Rent Appeal for a year and a half and have had pretty good experiences with this company. While issues are going to always arise when renting, I do believe Rent Appeal makes every effort to reasonably and quickly resolve issues fairly. The property is managed with regular maintenance to HVAC systems twice a year which is not always offered with other management companies.
Also the payment and maintenance request portal are very user friendly. With so many property management companies to choose from, it is difficult to assess fairly which reviews are legitimate or from angry tenants. From personal experience, Rent Appeal's owners are accessible and interested in ensuring tenant concerns are addressed fairly.

My tree service company has done work for this property management company for years and it is amazing! They have a great portfolio of properties that are extremely well maintained. Their tenants seem quality and their property owners seem to really care about the properties. They are always hiring my company to clean up the dead and hazardous trees to help protect the property and tenant. It's unusual in my opinion to see such quality from a management company. This is the company to use!

After telling the agent our credit score, which was below what their requirement was, telling of a 5 month stay on a lease which I ended due to the sudden death of my husband and showing 4 1/2 years of excellent rental reference, and have substantial monthly income the agent encouraged me to fill out the application and pay for the credit and background check.
After taking more than a week the agent turned down our application. Is this a new scam? The agent knew in the beginning that we were not going to be approved, but she encouraged us to proceed. Renters beware! Very unprofessional acting and luring.

This year was my first foray into property management and even though I've been a realtor and I'm currently in the mortgage industry, it doesn't make the aspect of managing tenants, issues and problems any better. Jennifer is very responsive. I mean Speedy Gonzalez fast. I didn't have to use their services because I ended up putting my property on the market. However, I can tell from her reply time and her demeanor, that she would do what's necessary to rent your house to a quality applicant. She referred me to people that were able to help me rent it out if I decided to go that route. I have only positive things to say about her.

I have to say for all the property management co I've dealt with, Jennifer was very attentive and responded to all my phone calls and texts. When I had issues with the house she def got it taken care of. I highly recommend Rent Appeal! They do their best and I've enjoyed being a tenant.
