Rick Markel, Asurent Property Manager provided excellent service today for me in a way that I could not possibly improve upon. And he has done this repeatedly! I am totally comfortable with handing over my property management to Rick. And that is to say a lot since I used to manage my own properties myself for 30 years and wanted that control to protect my investments.

After doing a fair amount of research and asking others in the business, I am so grateful we decided to use Asurent as our property management company. In particular, Rick Markel has been outstanding to work with. He is great communicator, timely, and works diligently to not only take care of our rental, but find us the "right tenants." It was a bit unnerving to leave the state and have our property left in someone else's hands, but Rick has put us at ease completely.
We appreciate his thorough updates and respect to meet our asks/needs. We have complete confidence in Rick and Asurent, and are beyond satisfied with every aspect of the process, start to finish. Thank you Rick for taking care of our first home.

Edit - I've reduced my rating due to the response I received. I know the industry and the players, Rick and Lyn did not handle communication well and dragged my family along while keeping the owner in the dark. The owner isn't happy, I'm not happy and this will cost Asurent money at the end of the day. The Pandemic has put everyone into adaptation mode, but refusing to communicate any way but text message and stringing families out as a plan B and Plan C without communicating may be legal but it is unethical and poor business practice.
I suggest everyone go work with Expert Properties as they have been much more responsive, informative and professional. I'm giving 3 stars right now because it will either become 1 or 5. I had to reach out to an owner due to mishandling of an application and rental process which was pulled back at the last minute without proper information being relayed to the owner. Luckily, I had contact with the owner and we were able to get on the same page.
If Rick and the team at Asurent can make this right, I'll come back and give the appropriate review, but right now I'm very hesitant based on previous infrequent communications. You don't take someones application, offer them a 1 year lease and when they respond "Yes" and make life decisions based on that, tell them days later that you are pulling it back because it is less paperwork for yourself to just let the residing tenants keep the place than getting new tenants.

Being a landlord can be very stressful, I worked with Rick on one of my rental properties and he took all the stress and work of leasing, managing, and advertising away. He is very knowledgeable about the rental market and can make the process of renting out your property as easy as it can be! They handle everything from screening tenants, to collecting rent etc. I highly recommend Rick at Asurent Property management for all of your rental needs!

I've had good luck with Asurent. Rick Markel did a great job getting my Jacksonville home rented over the winter. This is the second time I've used them to rent my property and I'll surely use them again next year. Lisa and her team are responsible and professional. Lisa Petrini at Asurent Property Management is incredibly professional and informative on all matters of rental properties, both commercial and residential. She is incredibly immersed in current legislative measures impacting landlord and tenant rights and, while she is not an "advisor, " I find her a tremendous resource of information that has guided me in a my leasing decision-making. Had to take them to court and won a judgment due to their very poor and deceptive service. Was not worth my time or the money issued in the judgment, but could not stand for the way they treat people, both property owners and tenants. If you're thinking of using Asurent as your property manager, I'd highly recommend you keep looking. They take advantage of their customers and tenants with substandard tenant screening and awfully deceptive record keeping. Lisa blatantly lied throughout our dealings and Patrick was never in the picture until the court proceedings.
After that terrible experience, I've changed property managers and haven't had a single issue. There are plenty of reputable property managers in Southern Oregon, unfortunately Asurent is not among them.

Asurent has been a great experience. The standard they hold is noticed in all the hard work they have done. They are always working with us and on top of whatever we need. Rick does a great job communicating with us and the owner. When things need fixed and explained Larry has been the man. By far the best Property Mangement I have dealt with. Keep it up guys.

Very disappointed by the lack of communication. First I talked to the landlord when I looked at the house where I wanted to rent a room so I don't have to commute as far for school at SOU. He knew my financial situation and that this would be my first place. He also said I could have the room, but we would have to wait for the property management. to clear me.
So the next week I hear from him that I should call the property management place, so I call, they seemed to want to confirm that I'm unemployed, but I showed them my financial aid. So then like four or five days later I hear again from the landlord and not the company that I was denied. So I call to find out why and learn it is because.
