We started working with this company and have nothing but great things to say. They have been extremely responsive and professional. Our tenants have found it easy to navigate their portal to pay rent and easy to communicate with them about any issues. I highly recommend anyone looking for a management company to look into using real property management.

As a property owner, our family had some really bad experience dealing with RPM. We can overlook the 18% raise in our condo fee since RPM took over, but we're definitely not getting the service we deserve for the cost. We hired contractor who needed to do some work in the common area (shutting down the valve for our unit) in order to fix an issue our unit, there was no assistant provided like our old property management would, which costed us an extra $150 just for the plumber to find the right valve to shut down. Fine.

Then they claim that they needed to fix a mistake the plumber made, rejected our offer to have our plumbing company to apply the fix. Instead just hired another plumbing company, and charged us over $400 JUST to turn on a valve for another unit without informing us first. Within this cost, there's a 10% service charge, which makes it very confusing why it took a plumber over 2 hrs to find a valve for a unit if there's a property manager accompanying.

Communication is also horrible, when we dispute this charge with RPM, the only response we'd get is basically 'we had nothing to do with this and see you in court if you don't pay'. The property manager was rude on the phone, and just ignored my request for a call back for further discussion. Horrible horrible experience, but I guess its not uncommon based on the reviews here Re. your comment below, we have responded immediately offering to fix the issue with our own plumbing company. But you've already hired someone before reaching out to us, also this does not explain why it took 2 hrs to turn on a valve with a cost of $400+

I'm a tenant living in an apartment that recently hired this management company. Every experience I have had with them has been bad. I just got off the phone with them trying to schedule maintenance for my apartment. The entire call I was treated with disrespect, right up until I was hung up on. There is no way I'm renewing my lease here, or moving to another apartment managed by this company.

I'm just glad I had several months here before they were hired, when I didn't have to deal with them. To property owners, if you want your tenants to be treated with any kind of decency, don't hire this company.

We had shopped many companies for our 16 units building. We're happy working with this company very much due to their excellent services. Every time I call to this company, Javier always picks up the phone at no time and presents with the information that we need. Javier is very responsible to any concerns and/or questions in a professional manner. I know that we can trust this company due to their reliability. For these reasons, We would recommend this RPM company.

We've been with RPM since 2013. John and his team have been more of a partner to us than just a service provider. We have looked to RPM for guidance on so many things related to the property, the tenants, the maintenance, the upgrades, and just about anything else related to us having a good return on our investment property.

I've used RPM Boston for my rental home since 2014 and I highly recommend them! They're very responsive, have handled a wide variety of repairs for me, and are good to my tenants.

We have been working with John and his team for about a year and a half now. They are professional, responsive and go above and beyond. During an unprecedented time, they have help us as landlords, tighten up our leases, improve collections and manage the property maintenance far better than we could do on our own. They also provided better experiences for our tenants by faster response times, improved repairs in a timelier fashion and helped those that needed assistance find the right services available to them. It has been a win win for both landlord and tenant experiences.

I used RPM Boston to manage my single unit rental property for four years, including one year when I was overseas. They found quality (paid rent on time, did not damage the unit) tenants quickly, and I always received my payments on time. They always communicated quickly, and took any issues I raised seriously and pursued them to a mutually acceptable resolution.

I did feel that I needed to monitor my communications with them closely and occasionally double check figures as there were occasional mistakes that required correction, but as I wrote, once I brought those issues to their attention they were always resolved.

RPM did a really poor job managing my Quincy property- I definitely would not recommend. There is no element of cost control for the landlord, they don't take responsibility when they contribute to / create problems, show little interest in resolving problems unless there is money on the table for them, communication is slow and poor, accounting is messy, and payouts are slow.

By default they do anything a tenant asks (because they add an additional 10% of whatever the job costs as their fee), they say everything needs to be fixed (quoted $600 for a carpenter to replace a door that drifted shut, which I fixed with a doorstop) their subcontractors are expensive as there are no competitive bids ($800 to replace a dripping faucet), and when the tenant doesn't pay they left me to chase the issue.

All that, and they payout 2 weeks after the tenant pays rent online, and you don't see the statement that reconciles what they paid out until the end of the next month! All around very poor property management. They just don't effectively solve problems in a way that keep landlords and their tenants happy.

I hired RPM four years ago to manage my four units in Boston after I relocated to San Francisco. They have been a true partner keeping my tenants happy, maintaining 100% occupancy and minimizing my costs whenever possible. They are extremely organized and quickly take action when any repairs are needed. The team is responsive, friendly and very helpful in all aspects of the business. Zach and Javier do an amazing job finding qualified tenants, Veronica provides detailed updates on the day-to-day operations, and finally Ian and John do an excellent job managing all maintenance jobs going above and beyond. Very thorough and professional all around. I highly recommend using Real Property Management.
