Keeping a Bonsai tree alive is not a difficult task, but there are a few things you should be aware of. Bonsai trees are planted in small pots with minimal space for water and nutrient reserves. That means you need to water and fertilize your tree regularly. Make sure your Bonsai gets plenty of light, water, and fertilize when needed and your tree is sure to thrive!
There are different methods to propagate trees, some need a lot of patience and some offer immediate results. Growing a tree from seed means you have full control over the styling of your Bonsai plant, but it takes at least five years before you have anything that resembles a tree.

Although the word 'Bon-sai' is Japanese, the art it describes originated in the Chinese empire. By the year 700 AD the Chinese had started the art of 'pun-sai' using special techniques to grow dwarf trees in containers. Originally only the elite of the society practiced pun-tsai with native-collected specimens and the trees where spread throughout China as luxurious gifts.
Bonsai Empire began as the dream of a young kid (Oscar), who at age fifteen created a simple website about his hobby. Since that time, the website grew to become the online Bonsai platform and community, supported by a group of people that share one vision; connecting through Bonsai. With the recent increase of interest in Bonsai, and the spread of this hobby across the globe, our vision slowly became reality. Our fifteen languages have a combined reach of millions of visitors a year, with a vibrant and active community as a result.
Most people are introduced to Bonsai by purchasing a cheap, pre-made bonsai tree. Although this is without a doubt the easiest way to get started, it's much more interesting, cost-effective, and rewarding to learn how to grow and style your own tree. Bonsai is an art that has been studied and refined for centuries, but don't let that scare you off.
Caring for a Bonsai tree is not nearly as difficult as it might seem. However, as Bonsai trees are planted in small pots there are a few basic guidelines for placement, watering, and repotting your trees. Though Bonsai trees are more delicate than the average indoor plant, a few basic rules should enable anyone to take care of their tree properly.

My husband and I lived in an apartment through Maine Properties for 6 years until recently moving into our home. Through that time they have been nothing short of friendly, communicative, and professional. Especially the property manager Michelle. Recently with us ending our time renting from them we had challenges locking in a closing date for our home, yet the entire time Michelle was so accommodating to make sure we had our apartment/lease in order to make the transition smooth. Maine Properties does business well and they treat people even better. We have already recommended them to family/friends!

Michelle Blake is a great property manager. As Maine Properties continues to grow their company, I worried communication would become difficult. It was encouraging to know Michelle would always get back to myself and my roommate about property related matters and other issues. Further, maintenance employees are super friendly and do a good job. Great place to live and great community, especially in Carriage Walk. Wouldn't trade the last year and a half, except that my dog outgrew the space!

I would like to take a moment and acknowledge the amazing service and support from Maine Properties. While everyone exhibits professionalism, kindness and efficiency, I would like to call out Wendy our Property Manager, as well as Mark and the entire Maintenance team. I have rented from many Property Managers in the greater Portland area over the past 20 years and recommend Maine Properties hand down for all renters in the area seeking housing. Thank you all so much for all you do!

Fox Ridge Crossing has been awesome every step of the way in my experience with them over the last year. It's such a nice, quiet, well maintained and beautiful place. The crew does an amazing job during all seasons. The property is well maintained in the summer and winter months. The plow truck guy is super efficient! Maintenance does a fantastic job as well.
I had one issue in my apartment with my toilet running, the problem was fixed promptly. I have worked mainly with Michelle. She is amazing at what what she does! I love that she is incredibly helpful, professional and always very responsive! She has been very accommodating while I prepare to move out to my new home I purchased. I highly recommend Fox Ridge Crossing! You guys rock! Keep up the great work!

Just wanted to recognize Michelle, Property Manager at Maine Properties, for being so responsive and attentive about any questions, concerns, miscellaneous ongoings or needs at our rental apartment. She is personally helpful, kind and a good person! Thankful to have someone like her to work with when it comes to something as important as our home.

We just added to our family, a puppy goldendoodle, and Michelle was so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable with answering questions, and getting paperwork taken care of so quickly. With an unrelated concern she was able to reach out to her team and got back to us in less than 24 hours. Fantastic communication! Maine Properties wants to hear all concerns and suggestions to see what solutions can be made- very proactive! Greatly enjoy renting with Maine Properties, due to the level of care, quality and community it upholds. Thank you Michelle & Team!

The Fox Ridge properties have been managed by Maine Properties since 2017 when we completed the first units. Today they service 60 of these units and 72 by fall when the next building is completed. We've had a group of different representatives from Maine Properties all of which did an excellent job representing both the customer and owner. Today Michelle supports our account and she's simply amazing!
Very timely in tackling any issues, keeping the owners updated, making suggestions to improve the customer experience and always available by email or cell. Keep up the great work Michelle we appreciate you!

We thoroughly enjoy living in our Lisbon apartment! Our building is brand new, a great size, nice to have the patio and perfect with our dog! The dog park is great the way it is set up! If we have a question, the management team responds in a very timely manner. We are fortunate to live in an amazing community!

I have rented with Maine Properties for 2 years and it's safe to say that I am less than impressed and I'm actively looking for somewhere else to live when my lease ends. We pay $1625 a month which will likely go up to at least $1700 when we get a lease renew offer. As it is these apartments are not even worth $1625. I'll start with the exterior of my building - it's disgusting and could use a power wash.
In the summer/fall there are gross spider webs above the outside door as well as nests inside. Other residents leave dog waste bags at the front door for weeks and all that gets sent out is an email but no one comes to clean it up. There are cigarette butts everywhere because even though you aren't supposed to smoke on the balconies people do. Moving inside, they send a cleaning crew maybe once every other month to vacuum/clean the hallway.
The door to our apartment (interior door) was dirty. Had scuff marks and dirt - obviously not cleaned after the prior tenant. Not to mention our shower was black in some areas - obviously not cleaned after the prior tenant. There were small stains left on the carpets I can only assume they will try to charge us for when we move out. In our prior apartment with Maine Properties the floor as giant gouges in it and we were told "that's normal wear and tear".
It's just quite honestly not an apartment that is worth over $1600 a month. The most recent bulls*** they are trying to pull is "encouraging" their tenants - reminder we pay to live and park our vehicles on property - to leave their vehicles off property if they are going to be traveling in the winter months. I honestly don't recommend any of their properties to anyone.

We absolutely love our experience with Maine Properties! We have lived in the Autumn Woods apartments now for 3 1/2 years and wouldn't change a thing! The staff is so responsive and helpful, the neighbors are wonderful, and the best part-it's pet friendly! So our little pup has many other doggo friends to play with on his walks. If you're looking for an apartment to rent, look no further! We love it here!
