I'd like to share my perspective as an applicant who ultimately decided not to rent with Rogue Real Estate based on the experience I had during the application process. I applied for an apartment about 2 1/2 weeks before I was scheduled to move to Medford for work. I didn't hear an update from them for the first week, and then they emailed me asking for my current landlord's email so they could send a rental reference form. Days later, after my landlord said she still hadn't received it, I called Rogue Real Estate to see when they'd be sending it.
A man said his associate would be sending it later that day, a Friday, but it didn't get sent until the following Monday, with exactly one week until I was slated to start my new job. After clearing that hurdle, Rogue Real Estate contacted me late Tuesday afternoon to say I was approved. I said great, and asked if I could see the place before signing the lease, and the woman I was speaking to asked if I could do it the same day.
I explained that wasn't possible because I was still living out of state, but was already planning to visit Medford two days later. She said they couldn't hold it that long, and asked that I either sign a "sight unseen" form or they would be moving on to the next person. So after I waited more than 2 weeks for them to process the application, they couldn't spare an extra day for me to actually see the place I'd be signing a 1-year lease on. And, in addition to the $1,700 security deposit, they wanted me to put down an additional $500 deposit because my monthly income was *slightly* under 3x the rent.
I'd caution anyone before doing business with Rogue Real Estate, particularly if you're moving from out of the area. They don't seem to care much about your situation, but given the housing shortage, they have the upper hand and they know it.

Moving across the country I was very nervous about finding a new home and starting a new life. So happy I found Rogue Real Estate. Not only were they welcoming, the screening process was smooth and they were extremely helpful and responsive throughout my entire process. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a rental or looking to buy to check out this property management company. Everyone as a team was so nice, Soraya in particular is incredibly kind and helpful. Thanks everyone at Rogue! You guys rock!

Not impressed with the associates. Between myself and my son who was trying to rent through them we talked to 6 different people and was told 6 different things. I tried emailing to talk about the problems they had with my husband cosigning for our son and did not receive a response. My son emailed a response to their concern like they asked only to later talk to a person and was like "oh, you already emailed us that info?" They email people at the end of the day not giving any time for people to respond to concerns until the following day.
Twice I called about their concerns they did not return my calls. Of the 6 times my son and I talked to them we called 4 times. The two times they called was about the same question. Day they rejected my son and husband's apps we had already found and signed a lease for another apartment and only a mile from his new job.

The renting experience is great while you keep paying them, however as soon as you move out ( having paid all payments on time and with full notice of the move), you find out that they charge for pre-existing conditions of the home out of your deposit. So if you rent from them don't bother thinking your deposit will be used for anything other than going into their pocket as bonus money for the company!
This picture from before we moved in shows broken buttons on the fridge, that they then charged me to fix. I'll bet the person before me got charged to "fix" them as well. As well as whoever moves in there after me will.

Having dealt with other property management companies through the years, dealing with Darla Davis has been refreshing. She is professional, friendly, supportive, and always checks in with me to make sure everything in my apartment is working right. She is an awesome property manager. She always lets me know she is there for me if I need anything. If I have questions or concerns or a maintenance issue, I know I can go to her and she will do her best to take care of me. Darla makes renting a breeze! Soraya is also a wonderful property manager.
She is super sweet and attentive and works hard to make sure things are taken care of properly. I could not ask for better property managers! Another thing I like about this company is how they use technology to operate efficiently. Any business that operates efficiently saves both time and money. And in this case, that benefits everyone.tenants, property owners, and the company itself.
I've seen many businesses that are still operating in the stone age, and that costs both time and money. As a tenant, I appreciate that Rogue Real Estate embraces technology. And if I was a property owner, I would appreciate it, as well, because I would know they are managing my properties responsibly. I would not want to rent from anyone else!
