They advertised a vacation rental at $4,500. I booked online and got a confirmation and my credit card was charged for half of the total price. Then they called two months later to say the price has increased from $4,500 to $7,500. I got three different explanations from "website hacked" to "you were not supposed to get those discounts" to "computer glitch".
They set their phones so that calls go straight to voicemail. They "lose" checks sent in for rental balances. Forget asking to speak to the person in charge. I finally showed up in person and got my deposit back. Horrible experience!

Tyson Jones was amazing in helping me in my search for a condo in Pawley Island. I live in Ohio and have been wanting to invest in a vacation home/rental for quite a while. With a pending move to be closer to grandkids, we interviewed three outstanding realtors in the Murrells Inlet area. after consultations with the three, we selected Tyson Jones and could not have been happier with our choice. Tyson's professionalism, knowledge of the current market, responsiveness, and downright pleasant personality put her at the top of our list. when it came to listing our Wachesaw Plantation cottage, Tyson's suggested list price was evidence of her understanding of a current market reflecting low inventory, record low interest rates and a high demand for lake front properties. she saw what we saw as the strong selling points of our cottage. list and final sale price were important, but even more important, Tyson was the only interview where she was able to provide contractors, painters, electricians to do any repair work on the cottage. she not only had the workers, but she also contacted them and arranged for appointments. both other realtors were willing to give us a list, let us call and both warned that in today's busy market, often calls are not returned. every worker she arranged for us was outstanding and responded immediately. Tyson was always available when we had questions and her kindness and patience with us when we had a few bumps in the road were much appreciated. when a neighbor inquired on who we used to list our cottage, we enthusiastically recommended Tyson and now that we are settled in our North Carolina home, we are pleased to see Tyson was selected to list the neighbor's Wachesaw Plantation cottage. if you are thinking of selling your home, you could not find a better realtor than Tyson Jones. we're living proof of that.

In Jan 2021 we contracted with them to rent a house on Pawleys Island in April. We needed a house large enough to accommodate our 13 family members while we were in town for our father's funeral. All of us are from out of state. We paid in full, signed contracts etc. months ahead. A few days before our arrival date, they cancelled our rental because the owners wanted to use it.
They cancelled our rental DURING SPRING BREAK. There were no places available that could accommodate us all-no vrbos, houses, hotels or resorts. Everything that could house us was rented. One of their employees called around only to tell us the same thing we knew.everything was rented, sorry. They gave us our money back, sure. But we were still left with nowhere for us all to stay for the funeral in Pawleys. Look, we used to own vacation property there and I get legally, as an owner, you can choose to use your own property.
But cancelling the reservation during high season, last minute when there are no viable alternatives open? That is low. Add in the fact that this was for our dad's funeral? That's horrible. Doc Lachicotte would be rolling over in his grave

Dan Sellers did an Amazing job helping me find and purchase my retirement home. He listened to all my needs and wants and helped me find what I was looking for. I have been renting at Pawleys Island for over 40 years and used to rent from Pawleys Island realty. They were great and highly recommend them. since switching to Lachicotte about 5 years ago, and they have been purchased by Christie's/Sotheby's, their customer service has been deplorable they don't answer inquiries they don't communicate, in short they are just terrible.

We were planning a move to South Carolina. We had already been in touch with another realtor. One day, I saw a listing and wanted more info about the house. I used the chat feature to ask questions. "Amazing" is the word we would use to describe Tyson Jones, as she truly goes the extra mile. We felt like we were her top priority every step of the way, and she always had our best interests at heart. She did a great job of marketing our home, communicating potential buyer feedback, and negotiating various contract terms. Once we were under contract, she even coordinated requested repairs using her network of contractors.

The Cathcart house was fantastic. It's a 13 person home, but we only had 5 people. The wifi was sufficient, the space was plenty, we liked the older home charm. The property had a private dock in the causeway, but also had it's own private beachfront walkway too. We loved the hammock and the rocking chairs on all the porches. We also appreciated they have recycling, something that I feel was lacking at the Litchfield townhomes. My only advice is to read the fine print about linens. Not a problem, just caught us off guard. Great place and location.

Beware of extra charges and being lied to on getting it resolved. Long story short: I was charged an extra $250 after paying for everything up front after we checked out. They couldn't figure out why I was charged for several days, then said it was taxes and fees they forgot to charge. When I sent a copy of my email confirmation and said that wasn't possible, I got a response of "Sorry there is nothing we can do." When I threatened to do a review on every social media platform and said I would just dispute the charge with my CC company, magically said they figured it out and would take care of it by the end of the day. One week later.still no refund and I had to dispute it and won my case. Would not recommend them and will not use them again.

We reserved our rental house for the following year after getting verbal confirmation that the rate structure would be about the same. Six months later - out of the blue - an email arrived saying our week was going to cost $2k more than the year before. A deal breaker. Better get everything in writing.
