CAMCO is a full-service management company that has provided management services to the HOA industry of Nevada for over 20 years. CAMCO manages communities throughout Nevada. Our claim to high-quality services is due to the fact that our company is structured quite differently than other Association Management companies.
Read, study and understand all governing documents of the Association. Correspond with members in violation of the CC&Rs, By-laws, Rules & Regulations and report the status of all noncompliance to the Board of Directors in a timely manner. Monitor delinquencies; send late notices and present problem accounts to the Board of Directors with recommendations for further action.
CAMCO Nevada is thankful to the various vendors that have serviced our managed communities over the years. CAMCO Nevada has a fiduciary responsibility to properly screen all vendors prior to authorizing service requests and bidding out contracts. In order to fulfill this responsibility, CAMCO Nevada has signed up with a 3rd party vendor compliance firm named VIVE.
As a homeowner in an Association managed by CAMCO, you have 24-hour access to your account. Note: address changes should be submitted to coa@camconevada.com. This incompetent home owners association do not even deserve a star. Starting with the lady that answers the phone, she is so unhappy and rude always in a rush. Employees never return calls, they have no patience, they don't provide correct information, they never have a solid answer, and beware, if you need clarification on something and ask too many questions, they might hangup the phone on you.
This association is simply a joke! What bothers me is that we as home owners pay for their salaries and we get treat it such a rude manner. Go take a training on customer service, so you can all learn how to treat others, that will be money well spent. Shame on you CAMCO!

I live in lantern garden, my car is parked in front of my own house, but I get a notice of violation saying that it will be towed. Asking the company why? They said I don't know. As a resident, I should have known the rules and regulations of the company. I asked her, well you work at the company and you do not know, why do you think I know? I asked, how can I prevent my car from being towed for parking in front of my own house?
I do not blocked any other house. She asked do you have a car garage? I said I do but I live in 4 bedrooms house and own multiple cars. At the end she just hang up the phone and said she doesn't know the rules and regulations and it is my job to know.

They continued to pull money from my account after I sold my house. Then when contacted they told me they never received paperwork from my title company and they would continue to charge me. Once contacted by realtor and realizing they had my paperwork, they told me I needed to call a different company to get my money back and it would take 2 months to get my money back. Oh and if then if my still was not returned then I would have to write them a letter to get my money back. This is is just the last mistake they made among numerous others.

I received a voice message from a woman that was interested in my resume for a position. Unfortunately I could not understand her name as it broke up during the message but she did leave a phone number. The following day I called the phone number provided on the voice message and an extremely rude young lady answered the phone and was not helpful in guiding or directing me as to where I could get in touch with somebody in regards to an open position with the company.
Instead of being helpful she just kept asking me which department (I don't know I wasn't left one) and kept saying that the name given to me does not exist (again I had explained that I didn't understand the name that was left on the voice message). Because of how rude this person was to me there's no way that I would even want to consider taking a position with this company if this is how they treat potential employees or heck even their clientele. Very disappointed.

They are just a mean bunch of people that think they rule the world. Their phone etiquette does not exist and is worse than talking to IRS agent. Low HOA price is the only thing that is helping me to deal with these less educated prima donnas. Someone in executive levels should start recording all of their conversation and start replacing these apes with real human.

0 stars if I could. Worst HOA ever do not ever give this place your business. We had this terrible unfortunate excuse of a HOA at our current neighborhood in McDonald Ranch and kicked them to the curb as soon as we could and switched to RPMG which is WAY better than Camco. I don't understand why TriPointe uses this terrible company as the HOA for their neighborhood, its a sorry excuse for a HOA. Do yourself a favor get rid of them as soon as possible.

The only time you'll hear from them is if you ever late on your monthly fee. All man on deck to collect your HOA fee. Will answer your phone call with just 1 ring if its regarding your HOA payment. BUT WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING FROM THEM. they will ignore your calls and emails. If you get lucky to talk to someone they will give you the run around. Ive also witness patrol cars. Patroling neighborhood at 2 in the morning. blasting music! Why am i paying HOA for. i barely seen clean up crew in my neighborhood in MONTHS. If you knw any good lawyers please email me.

They sent payment notices for my assessments to the address in California which was noted as the house being sold by me. They did not send them to the house I bought in Nevada, the one which is in their system, the one for which I am paying the assessments. That, plus a combination of not being able to set up recurring or automatic payments meant I ended up being extremely overdue and penalized heavily.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. We've had this hoa for 2 years now and honestly this is the worst I've ever seen. High turn over of employees, incapable employees, no follow up, no concern, no follow through. Along with other community issues, we've actually been waiting for someone to tell us how to get the spikes on our wall fixed since we moved in!
The community owns them, not us, but 7 managers later and I'm STILL explaining the situation over again. Current employee, Isabel, is inept and cannot read emails. There isn't enough room here to elaborate on all wrong in our community and this hoa management company. STAY AWAY from CAMCO managed communities. I wish we knew more before we moved in.

Isabel lacks professionalism and knowledge of any kind. Received an email from her using no punctuation. They will not contact homeowners who park on sidewalks or who have dogs of leashes. Multiple 911 calls have be made due to dog bites and aggressive dogs loose in neighborhood. CAMCO only cares about vegetation in yards over personal safety. Would not recommend.

CAMCO rarely returns calls and often doesn't answer emails. Your CAMCO manager does not want to see you - use that to your advantage: first, call CAMCO and ask who your manager is based on your address; second, ask what days your manager works; third, show up unannounced at the office and ask to speak to your manager; fourth, send your manager an email memorializing your complaint.
Let your manager know you will return to the office as often as needed. 10/01/20 update: our community is in the process of soliciting competive bids for HOA administration to maximize value and improve customer service. CAMCO sets a pretty low bar for customer service, but most of the HOA management companies get terrible reviews. Does anyone actually like their HOA management company? 6/15/21 our community dumped CAMCO earlier this year.
The new management company, Pinnacle Community Association, answered the phone (during lunch hour even) and emailed me the new ARC form within minutes. So far, so good. And good riddance to CAMCO.

CAMCO has to be the worst HOA. I don't understand how they even function on a day to day basis as an actual Association that manages properties. The office has a constant turn over and no one seems to know what is going on. It's been a month and a simple request to have a garage sale has yet to be reviewed or approved. This is my 2nd time in 3 years requesting a garage sale in our gated community and it's the same thing with an entire different staff.
My last garage sale request never got approved, I never got a call back or anything. When buying a home look for an association that actually cares and that is responsive to you as a homeowner, NOT CAMCO.

To all board of Directors This management company would usurp your authority under NRS 116 to run the association as the board of directors see fit and not as the board of directors would choose. As the president of the board, i had to term them for failure to follow our direction as mandated under NRS 116 that they must follow the board of directors direction after only 60 days of management This was an expensive and inconvenient mistake to the community made by me and i wish to make sure that this fate does not befall any other HOA communities.
I had to get the HOA attorney involved to explain to them the particulars of the law and this still failed to move their position and cost almost 2k to the HOA in legal fees. and left me openly apologetic to my board of directors for the mistake in judgement Camco insisted that the board of Directors bend to their will, regardless of what NRS 116 stated or hire another management company, so i did just that, with the blessing of the rest of the board and termed the contract just to have them in our review mirror. if you wish to surrender to your management company and have no say and just be told to shut and sign the checks then by all mean hire CAMCO and i wish you better success than my experience

Zero stars is what they deserve. I left a voicemail message 9 times over a 3 week period as well as emailed our 'community manager' 6 times in the same period, all with no response. I spoke with the gal answering the phone after the 2nd time and confirmed Julie was in. Nothing. So I called back and stated there was an emergency in the HOA with a broken waterline flooding the area, and I would hold for her to pick-up. Amazing!
I got right through! Julie claimed to have received no voicemails or emails, but I had proof of delivery. She didn't like that. Boo hoo. The whole company is incompetent. I complained to the HQ 4 times and got no reply. None. Add to this that the CEO has been convicted of fraud and that is plenty. Don't do business with these folks. If you are looking for a management company to : Recommend the worst vendors who will completely rip off your community and make you pay way more than average for services. Charge up the ying- yang for all they do. Send out mailings more than once since they never check their work to see if the envelopes were properly stuffed. Leave you waiting forever about any improvements you want to do to your home Speak down to homeowners at board meetings Accuse homeowners of deeds that never happened in "Violation Letters" Then, by all means hire the crooks at Camco!

Love who built our house and the location. Loathe that we are tied to Camco. We submitted a landscaping proposal over 6 weeks ago. There are so many issues I don't even know where to begin. 1. When you state, "expect a 3-4 week turnaround time for approval." Honor it. 2. When you forget to attach a document in an email that is supposed to state what items are incomplete.
Own it that you made a mistake and actually attach the document instead of being snarky in your response that you did--especially when there's an email thread that shows you didn't. Embarrassing on your part. 3. If there are incomplete items, send them all at the same time. Don't send one list and then wait two weeks later to send another list of incomplete items. Makes you look incompetent as a company. 4. Watch how similar organizations run their business and strive to be like them. It'll only make you a better.

Terrible service, always bounced from one person to the next. Never the same person twice who is "managing our Community". Their payment system is junk, and they refuse to take payments over the phone. Oh and on top of that, they raised our HOA fees this year another 200 bucks a year. We are already some of the highest HOA fees in Las Vegas. And we're not even in some fancy neighborhood.
They have the HOA police stroll our neighborhood everyone week looking for the dumbest things to nitpick, then send you a threatening letter a few days later with the a photo taken with a 2 megapixel Sony Cybershot from 1999. HOA Management is the biggest legal thievery since someone convinced people to pay them to let them work and call it a Union.

Lack of professionalism and poor management! Every time I call to report an emergency or ask a simple question, the receptionist always transfer the call to agents that are always away from their desk or busy, takes them more than a day to call back. When you ask for an office manager or someone in charge the receptionist says there is no one to talk to! and she is Incompetent to answer simple questions.

Emailed for a month. One response with none of the info requested. Asked to have a copy of the rules since I do not know how an HOA works. Never lived in one, nothing. Called more than once and finally spoke to a lady who transferred me to a voice mail. Then I resent the original email. Response was missing the answer to 1 question. But was told they will no longer be our HOA COMPANY. Ok.
Then the next day they email me a violation letter. For a neighbor who lied about a No Parking sign. What?!? Double check before just sending letters, maybe!? I inquired about what this neighbor said and got no response and now a warning letter. Insanity!

CAMCO is the worst management company that I have ever dealt with. I recommend for all associations NOT to use the services of CAMCO. Three months for the Architectural Review Committee and the Board to approve my architectural request? The ARC and the Board going back and forth on the required setback for a basketball court, despite my community's CC&R's not mentioning a thing about basketball courts or hoops and the master association's only requirement being that the hoop and post must be 7.5 feet from all property walls.
A member of the ARC having the audacity to alter and delete parts of my email text to the Board? The President and CEO of CAMCO having the audacity to lie by sending me a BS response about why my email was different than what was uploaded to Village Management Software (VMS)? Both individuals should be relieved of their duties immediately! CAMCO employs incompetent, untrustworthy people and the individual at the top leading this company is a con artist!
I wound up having to get the Ombudsman's Office involved for my architectural request to be approved by the ARC and the Board. It wasn't until the Ombudsman's Office called my Community Manager did the ARC and the Board take things seriously. In closing, they never apologized for or owned up to their wrongdoings and only seek to have control over just about everything. Had they done their job from the get co, the Ombudsman's Office wouldn't have had to get involved! The President and CEO of CAMCO and the Architectural Review Committee ought to be ashamed of themselves!

I love living in a HOA neighborhood, however there's something's I wish you provided like a remote to the gate. The prior owner to the home didn't leave one and when I called Ms. Trisha Kornegay asking about it she very rudely told me I have to buy it "we don't give them to you". She was always very rude when answering any questions. Besides that, you guys handle other things in the community very well and take all concerns into consideration. Thank you!
