Kevin has been a valued member of the Five Star Team since April of 2015. As the Property Services Manager he is amazing at utilizing and leveraging technology to ensure we offer the best service to our clients. He uses his master level customer service skills to develop and maintain great relationships with our Vendors, Owners and Residents.
A property manager is hired by a property owner to handle the day-to-day operations of a rental property. Among other responsibilities, they are responsible for tasks such as property marketing, resident screening, property maintenance, and rent collection. The exact responsibilities vary, depending on the type of property they are managing and how much they are paid, as well as the terms of the agreement. We are going to take a look at just some of the main responsibilities property managers have.
After signing the contract with you, we will start working within one business day. We'll quickly get started with onboarding your property for marketing, maintenance, and leasing. We strive to find high-quality residents as soon as possible. We do this through use of numerous marketing platforms, in order to quickly find a low-risk resident.
We are a full service property management firm based in Chubbuck, Idaho. This allows us to fully concentrate on your single-family property. Our attention is not split with real estate sales quotas, and we only direct our efforts on what we do best. Narrowing our focus on Pocatello and Chubbuck means real familiarity and solid expertise in these areas.

Not Trustworthy, Rental was dirty at beginning of lease & they were told about it. Then after a year of no problems, no late rent, they Charged another credit check fee for everyone on lease & Raised the Rent. after two years & moving out trying to charge almost $300 in cleaning & paint fee's a month after move out. This company is Not Fair or Honest. DON'T trust them.

Very mixed at best. Cumbersome, complex application process. Some of their contractors/workers are incompetent, as they flooded our yard by leaving a broken valve open-- I saved them a bundle by finding and closing the shutoff valve before it could cause damage- without so much as a thank you from them. Then they way over-charged on minor items from the move-out inspection, like forgetting to put all bulbs back in.

Be sure you videotape everything before you move in, and expect they will keep some of your deposit no matter what. I have been a landlord myself several times over the past decades, and would never act as they do. But I guess with the market the way it is, they think they can get away with it.

If you expect to get even half of your deposit I wouldn't rent from this greedy rental agency. They not only make you pay for carpet cleaning prior to moving out (you have to use the company they use too) but they will nickel and dime you to death. I spent 2 days scrubbing walls etc and they still took most of my deposit. Yes there was a 8in hole in a wall that needed to be repaired but $30 for a light bulb that worked when I did my walk through.

This is bull and I should have listened to the reviews. Don't be like me. Heed the warnings left by others. Out of a $800 deposit I'm online getting $114 back. Based on other reviews, I lucked out. Edit: In the reply they stated that I haven't contacted them which is false. I've been in contact and was basically told that I'm wrong and they have provided me with proof of everything.

Apparently I'm responsible to replace light bulbs that were never there in the first place. I have also never been charged over $100 for cleaning after I cleaned for 2 days by any previous rental agency. After 22 months of living in a unit you would think you would receive a larger credit for "wear and tear". Five Star can go kick rocks. I would live in a shed before I ever rented from them again.

They were VERY fair with our move out. I would imagine some renters are "the problem". Living in their property was a good experience. Clean and well taken care of. In about 3 years of living in my apartment, really never heard from them at all, which is good. When moving out, I got a fair return on my deposit. If you are a reasonably clean person that cares about how you live, this is a great place to rent from.

I am a former assistant coach at Idaho State University for the mens basketball team. I can not stress this enough. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. The owner of Rent Five Star are Heidi and Dannis Adamson. They own about 25 properties in Bannock. I had heard all the stories about how they screw people over out of deposits but my wife and I were not too concerned over the past 5 years we have NEVER not gotten a full deposit.

During out short stay we had some minor issues that has to be fixed, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and we had several issues with our vents and AC. Our deposit for equal to 1 months rent, totaling 1455.00, we were informed that it would take a week or so for them to do the final walk through and that company policy is that we cant be there. To make a very long story short, they took our entire 1455 deposit and tried to request an additional 800.

I asked for pics, they sent me pics of before and after shots and they all look exactly the same. The sent me a hand written bill for over 2,000 for paint and labor. PAINT? Im telling you right now, DO NOT RENT from these people, you can consider your deposit as good as gone. I will be taking legal action, but felt it was important for people to know about their common practice to charge people for touch up PAINT once they vacate.

We've been very pleased with Five Star. We've been renting an apartment through them for two years and they've always answered our emails and service requests the same day or within 24 hours. If something needs fixed, they fix it as soon as possible. When we were looking for apartments, they also had the cleanest and best maintained ones, that's why we chose them. Kylee is also great to work with and is always prompt, professional, and friendly when responding to our questions.

First I am a real estate professional. Have extension experience with a large amount of multi-family property managers across the intermountain west. That being said, 5 star is an absolute mess of a management group. As a landlord they sold themselves as something they were not from the beginning. We simply wanted to rent out property out as is, but they continually asked us to turn unit after unit to get them rented.

We were sold an established and experienced group who would assist in filling the product, they did not do this in anyway shape or form. Travelled to the property on one occasion in which 5 star sent over two employees who not only did not have the proper keys for the property, but did not know anything about our property after 4 months of managing. Incredibly frustrating to say the least. Asked repeated to get a new Internet Service Provider, we are talking about them simply making 2 phone calls to improve the property, wouldn't do it.

Fast forward to when we are listed for sale. They literally were over sharing sensitive information with groups who were touring. They were seemingly trying to submarine the deal to keep the property management in place. Would never use them again in any situation imaginable.

Five Star Property Management is one of the very best property management companies I have ever done business with. They may not be rated well by disgruntled tenants who are not responsible, fail to honor their contracts, or want to have things their own way. However, as a property owner I have found Five Star Property Management to be fair and professional in their business dealings.

They do a good job helping property owners keep their properties in tip top rentable condition and in keeping their properties rented at current market rents. They understand the rental market well. Five Star has a well trained support staff to handle duties from showing properties to coordinating any repairs that may be needed from time to time. Their owner statements are on time every month. I would recommend Five Star Property Management to anyone who wants to be treated fairly and professionally.

Definitely the worst rental agency I've ever met. First, if you ever need to get a hold of them plan on calling at least 20+ times over the course of a few days because they don't pick up and don't seem to respond to voicemails. When you finally do get a hold of them they will tell you oh this person is in charge of those kinds of problems but they only work on that on this day for these 2 hours and will never get back to you. Second, I've put in a few service requests for things at the place I'm renting such as a couple outlets not working and they never got back to me.

I waited a couple weeks for them to respond to it and found that they had closed my service request without ever even talking to me. I'm not sure if its a staffing problem or just poor work ethic but I'm not sure what's going on over there. Only plus side is that they will never bother you.

Well I tried to rent a townhouse through them made more than three times the rent, sent them like 5 years of rental history and have decent credit score (600+) I was told that I didn't qualify because of my credit and limited rental history, all while my girlfriend was renting a house by herself through five star that was a couple hundred dollars MORE than the townhouse I wanted.

So how did I not qualify when you are renting out full houses to broke college kids with 0 credit? Seems like they are making good money off the the apps probably already had that townhouse picked for a friend or family and just let it collect money from the apps for a couple weeks why not make an extra grand or two right lol. Went through another company and was approved that day. I've heard good things about 5 star and also very bad things. If I were you I'd avoid them if you can.

Five Star's staff are (usually) nice enough---when you can actually reach them. They never answer their phone, it takes them a week to answer emails, and they text me with updates but won't respond to my texts in a timely manner. There is no good way to reach them, yet they expect us to be available to let them into our apartment at the drop of a hat.

They've raised our rent every single year, but the level of service has actually gone down. They overcharged me on my rent this month, and when I only paid what my lease obligates me to pay, I got charged a late fee AND they said I paid them less than I actually paid. Good thing I saved the confirmation page that clearly shows that I paid what I am supposed to pay. They are disorganized, slow to respond, and difficult to work with. Property owners, if you want your tenants to be happy, steer clear of doing business with Five Star.

I have rented from five star for 3 years. I only moved out because the owner decided to sale the rental. Over all, I'd say it wasn't to bad. My experience with the front desk gals was that they can be a little unorganized, but in the end every problem I had was taken care of. I dealt with Tal a few times, one of their contractors, he was great to deal with on repairs.

Now I read several reviews about five star and not getting money back and I was a little nervous about the deposit. I put well over my deposit in that place, which was expected because I lived there for 3 years. I left the rental the way I got it. I painted it, repaired holes in the walls to the standards that they use, which I thought was the responsible thing to do, to keep the place at the best quality they can, as well as, followed their cleaning list and I got my full deposit back before the 30 days. I'd use five star again in the future. Absolutely satisfied renters.
